Kimonos et Inros

90cm twill
Annie Faivre
1997 reissue of 1982 design

"Inros" are small ornamental boxes that might contain perfume or cosmetics that are hung from the waist sash of a kimono.

As soon as I unwrapped it I knew it wasn't the right cw for me, so I never took modeling shots. It's hanging on the wall of my office as decoration now.

:smooch: Thank you, Tango! And thank you for posting designs I don't have in my collection :graucho:

Work is getting in the way of taking pics of Jardins d'Hiver, which was my other AW2015 purchase, but I will try this weekend

Thanks for posting such beauties. I've always like Inros and it seems like an under the radar design compared to many others by Annie. It would make a beautiful wall hanging.

Darn work, getting in the way of your playtime! :p

Jardins d'Hiver is a lovely design, will be delighted to see what cw you chose.

I was very happy when I heard that H was reissuing Jardins d'Hiver as the original had come our before I started collecting.

I chose CW24 Blanc/ Vert/ Ebène - I don't have too many light-colored scarves, but I love the different greens in this one. It's fantastic with greys and blues.

A few modeling shots to start.

One of the main reasons I picked the scarf is that the central greenhouse reminds me of the glass dome of the Galeries Lafayette in Paris - the picture below shows an art installation, I think frolicking monkeys would be a great addition :D:p

The scarf takes us on a worldwide tour of gardens. First, Babylon and the legendary hanging gardens. Nothing remains there, but the lions do look like the ones on the Gate of Ishtar
