I'm so glad this thread was revived!! The runaway hit from Spring 2015!!

Wow, H.N., that is one stunning scarf! I have seen very few of the S/S scarves... I don't know that this is on the Hermes web site. Or if it is, I've missed it. Love, love, love your cw!

Thank you, GG! I swear, I have been over every square inch of my MetM at least five times, and could never find that little monkey! A.F. sure does do a good job of hiding him, and what makes it even more challenging is that he looks different in every scarf!

My pleasure Elaine! It would be so much easier if he was always the same!;)

Ah, another MeM twin :ghi5: excellent!

I am (half-heartedly) looking for Napoleon (beautiful jacquard) but I insist on seeing things for myself, the only part that puts me off is the man himself

I know what you mean, papertiger! But I was obsessed with getting one for two reasons. First, as you say, was the jacquard... of bees! Napoleon's symbol! Makes the scarf very special. And second was the reproductions of the paintings, rendered in greyscale. When I learned that the images on the scarf were based on real paintings, I just had to own it!

Here's a great link that shows the original art, and then the Ledoux rendering on the scarf: http://63gramos.blogspot.com/2011/01/napoleon-philippe-ledoux-1963.html

I'm hoping I see one IRL on my travels

What an amazing blog, thank so much for the link. I didn't know Napoleon stole the emblem of the bee from the monarchy, I should have guessed ha ha.

Gorgeous H Nuttynut!:D

:salute:

Camouflage monkey!!! :D

Speaking of monkeys, I've never understood why she didn't put a monkey on Circus. Of all the scarves that should have one!

Also, I haven't found one on Grands Fonds, and I've looked and looked. Has anyone had better success than I have?
