Pinkboopy cam you tell me about the skin divers I only know a little bit about and as I mentioned before mine rejected, and I know they are nearly impossible to heal, not to mention they can't be removed whenever you want. I was lucky that there was no connective tissue around mine otherwise they would have to cut it out. I looking to get something similar but I don't want a transdermal.

I have one in each. I went through hell to get them (twice it got infected, once so bad that my ear was turning black o_O Third time's the charm I guess, because the third time everything went smoothly). Although I sometimes contemplate getting another done on each ear, when I think about how likely I am that they're going to get infected and all the drama that comes with it, I resign myself to one in each ear ^^

Merekat I had skin divers in my sternum, loved them, and so did my partner! I ended up taking them out though as I kept getting them caught on my clothing which was annoying me! I'd go the skin divers over microdermals though, as they heal faster and are easier to take out if you decide you no longer want them :-)

Thanks I will check that option out!

The skin divers are one whole piece of jewellery, and are teeny tiny, so all the piercer does is make a small hole, and put it in. They heal really quickly and they don't have to have connective tissue build up around them to hold them in, as they aren't in all that deep, but deep enough to stay in. Plus the hole will eventually shrink around the stem of the diver jewellery. The only issue (not that I see it as an issue) is that you can't change the jewelled bit on the front, the part that is visable. As it's all one piece of jewellry. But thats easy enough, just go for a clear stone so then it goes with everything :-) Mine only took literally a couple weeks to heal, no redness, no swelling, no rejection. It wasn't until I decided to take them out myself that they came out. I do see them as the better option!

I didn't have any problems with the sharp end as it's kinda rounded off, not overly spiky. I have attached a photo. Not too sure who makes the jewellery but it's all surgical steel, same material as any other piercing jewellery, and it doesn't irritate the skin or anything.

Man I wish they would come up with something that wouldn't reject. I love the way skin divers and microdermals look but I honestly don't want to deal with constant infection and rejection even though I followed my piercers aftercare to a t. Never had problems with my other piercings like I did with my microdermal. It was definitely my favorite piercing, it sucks to no longer have it.

How bad is the pain, whats it comparable to? I watched youtube videos and it seemed ok but I am kinda a wuss even thought I have 16 piercings so far but nothing like the micro thats inserted.

Honestly the microdermal barely hurt and I got it done on my inner wrist. It felt like a pinch to me and was over in less than a minute. I do have a pretty high pain tolerance. But nothing compares to the pain I experienced with my nipple piercings not even my tattoos.

i used to have them from the top to the bottom of each ear but that was a while ago used to annoy me when i slept plus the top ones got infected dont know why anyway have one on each ear thats enough i dont mind other people having them its what you like..who cares what anyone else thinks and no it doesnt look trashy.:smile1:

yikes mine got infected too but not black i still have the holes but i dont put any earings in out of laziness plus sometimes i dont wear them too bed my nose one and bellybutton are a bit more stable only had to change them once and the one on by nose actually closed up around the piercing totally pissed off had to re-do it again

I have one in each ear. I think as long as you are wearing studs or one large earring and one stud, then you are fine. If you plan to wear 2 inch hoops in each, then that may come off trashy if you are wearing them to work.
