Not Sure How I Feel About New Business Model...

I think part of the problem is that a lot of the styles aren't available to order yet or the style # is not available! How can I order it if I can't find the #?!

They need to be careful with this, because I lose interest quickly and other brands are releasing their fall lines NOW...I am gong to buy something, but Coach might snooze and lose my additional handbag $$...I'm feeling the pull to other brands...I am starting to feel like I've got my SV Runway bag & my soft Borough and that's it for Coach for fall...

I do think that the Vevers collection has not been marketed well. I agree with the teenage models etc. I have bought a couple of fall bags and there are a couple I have my eye on, but overall, I am underwhelmed.

Most of the bags are variations of the Rhyder. It will be interesting to see the new bags in person. Perhaps I will feel differently. And they are overpriced in many cases. Probably won't stop me from getting a couple, but when I compare Coach bags at a higher price point to other bags at that price point, I think they fall short.

I have never been a huge MK fan, but I just looked at their fall collection and WOW! They hit a homerun. I look at the competition in the $1K range and I would go for Aspinal any day over Coach.

I have said this before in other threads, but the Vevers collection is really, really nice, but not amazing. Maybe if the marketing were different I would have a different perspective. Hard to say.

I totally agree that the Vevers collection is really nice but not amazing. And even the really nice bags, become less nice at $1k price tags. If I can get a balenciaga bag on sale for $1,300 or so I would rather buy that then a Coach bag for $1k. For $1k, I am looking for really amazing leather, killer style, and price stability. (I know my bbag will not be worth half its price in one to two months for example.)

I will still pay $600 or so for a Coach bag however. $700 would be about my limit, and I would only pay that for an amazing style that filled a gap in my collection. (Although I went a bit above that for the grommet borough, the truth is I regret what I paid for the grommet borough and had I not snipped the tags, I probably would have returned it..)

That's a shame. That's the problem with Coach, you can't just buy a bag and enjoy it. They have you always looking over your shoulder to check if you missed some discount along the way. Shotgun B is stunning, use and enjoy :smile1:

Thanks tannedsilk! :smile1: I really do like the shotgun B, I think paying full price for it is making me a little cranky that's all. :p

One thing is for sure: I will be carefully debating each Coach purchase for a: timing (will it go to the outlet in a week?) b: price (will there be a pce or discount at some point? Is the bag worth the price?) and c: value (Is the bag worth what I am paying for it?)

With all that debating, impulse buys of Coach will be much less in my world.

Very true! I already have my fall "wants" in mind, however, Coach is a big ??????

This one...I loved it from the very first time I saw it in the fall preview show...so as soon as I heard it was available, I was on it! LOL :p

Besides this one, nothing else so far is a "must have" for me.

Agree!

I can't justify paying anything more than $525 (haha, since I bought the whipstitch bag I've had to raise my Coach price ceiling!) for Coach or that will hold up better price-wise on the resale market. :p

If I'm shelling out anything more, I'd rather put in a bit more and get something timeless.

Stunning!!!!

How big is this? Is it about the size of the Stewardess bag?

Without a PCE, I don't feel any urgency to buy a new bag or even to go look at them IRL, especially since my FP store is an hour away.

I'm happy I'm not blown away by the new collection because I have too many bags already.

There are a few bags from past seasons I'm seeking.

I'm not too familiar with the Stewardess bag--I looked online and it looks bigger than my bag.

It's actually similar in width and height as the Urbane 2--but twice as deep.

It's approximately 10.5" W x 8" H x 4" D.

It's a great size, not to big or small...adjustable cross body strap. Love it! :p
