It's not that old.

I wanted to comment on returns. Whenever I return, they always ask me why, and the reason I have is never one of their choices so they always put "changed mind." I have returned items because the color didn't look anything like the drilldown, because the shoes didn't fit, because the FOS picture didn't show the bag had a separating zipper, and because the poor packaging caused the handles to make dents in the bag. It bothers me that no one at JAX is going to find out the real reason I returned so they can take action to make sure it doesn't happen again. They probably just think I change my mind a lot.

No but the subject matter is timely..........not to mention some of the things mentioned are already being implemented.

I would assume the business model is constantly evolving. Some of things we expected haven't happened, at least not yet. There will probably be a bunch more changes when Reed leaves.
 
Seems funny to me that it bothers some people that an "old" thread is open. One....it's not old.....two, if it bothers you.... don't read it. Problem solved!

I think people that spends thousands of dollars every month for multiple Coach bags are very sensitive to any type of negative posts. I agree; if you do not like it then don't open the thread. Go to a thread that will enable you to purchase that 4th Coach bag this month. :p

Yep, it seems like OP's source was indeed correct.

I"m actually looking forward to seeing some of the changes implemented. With the new and upcoming collection in addition to some of the MFF purses, I'm loving what I've seen so far.

This is a public forum and any one can comment on any thread at any time, telling people not to read or comment is not something that anyone but reader/poster can control. Similarly if a post is disagreeable to someone they can feel free to move on!
 
The FP stores are certainly getting more strict with pce. I was not able to use this last pce on a phoebe, even though my FP store has sold me ALL of my other phoebes with pce. My SA quit and my back up SA said that they were writing people up for giving the discount.

But there still is a pce or discount every week, and they are still sending relatively new FP styles to the outlet though, including Phoebe, so although they are implementing some of the policies, it is not clear to me that they are being successful in upgrading their brand.
 
I think it would be a terrific time to re-brand the outlets. They are already half-way there! And while I know a more restrictive return policy would be not be popular in a lot of minds, I'm certain it would cut down on the number of dissatisfied customers who get someone else's used return. And hopefully it would eliminate the bag-squatters, who take popular bags out of the system at FP and then return/rebuy at outlet months later.

Wow do people really buy bags and just hold them and then return them? :shocked:

I am naive I guess :p. Whatever Coach does, I agree with you, I certainly think the liberal return policy will be a thing of the past. :cool:

She goes through her phone, shows it to the SA who reaches into the draw for a coupon to scan. The customer asked her why she made her find the email if she did not need the code she replied they have been instructed to check because it was a last minute decision and the information is not on the client file like it usually would be.

It would appear that they are trying to take control of PCE usage, however this was not my usual store so I have no idea if this is what they do for each event.

My usual store is acting has done an 180 degree turn since the last pce (which was TWO weeks ago:p) They would not let me use pce on phoebe, and they said that they were not letting people place phone orders anymore. I forwarded my backup SA an email from HER showing me the pics of the phoebe cranberry during the last pce (two weeks ago) and telling me that if I wanted it I needed to buy it because the fb coupon was expiring in a day (that is what her email said). I explained that SHE is the one that sent me the email offering me the pce and facebook discount on phoebe last time and that since she did it from a Coach email address and put the store's phone number on the email that that represented the store's policy on phoebe and pce.

That is when she told me that people were getting written up for giving the discount and that the policies had changed.

I spent FAR too much effort getting my discount this time, and it has left a bad taste in my mouth. I buy a lot of Coach but that is because I can afford more colors and styles for the same price i used to pay for only a couple of Balenciagas, etc. I like to switch my purses out a lot and 100 dollars off allows me more purses and colors for my money. I already have a lot of balenciagas, and the styles have not changed in years so there is no need to buy a lot more, so I like to experiment with Coach. :cool:

If Coach is going to raise its prices (and not raise its quality). I will simply go back to buying less purses and buying premium brands where the brand is not constantly devalued by the company.

She really made her jump though hoops, silly little girl didn't even have the sense to use the code that she made her search for - that's what pi$$ed her off, I would have been too.

I had no idea that Coach even allowed that lol. :p

If they can float a Coach holding pen then more power to them. :p
