Not Sure How I Feel About New Business Model...

1. $498 and lesser priced bags will be factory bags only and no longer sold in boutiques.

2. Less frequent floor sets

3. Less siggy and more leather (more expensive) factory bags

4. Returns must be in person and approved by store manager, the return policy we know now is soon to be eliminated

5. Boutiques will sell pinnacle bags and smalls only, lower priced lines will be factory lines

6. No more PCE

I'm not sure if all of this will take place sooner or later or at all but this is what I've heard from more than one reliable source...

Wow! Looks like I have a really good excuse to start stocking up now! LOL! Hope this really doesn't happen, doesn't sound good to change so much over to Factory, but if it does change, we coachies need to band together and let 'em know we don't like it (that is if we don't, which it sounds like that will be the case). I like having FP deletes at the outlet the way they have it now, that is the thing that will bother me the most if it changes.:nogood:

I was at the outlet a couple of days ago, and there were almost no signature bags there. Some of the new leather bags were roughly the same price as the old coated canvas siggies they used to sell, so they're still appealing to the outlet shopper's price point. I think this particular change is a change for the better.

I'm also down with keeping styles around for longer. It gives the brand sight recognition. And I hate feeling like I have to order something within the first 15 minutes it comes online or I'm out of luck.

The coupons were getting out of control. I think it's a smart move to make them more rare, but not stop them altogether.

I don't believe limiting boutiques to 1K bags is going to work. I'm all for bringing up the brand, but not over their reliable customer's heads. $400 seems like the magic price limit I'm seeing in this thread, and Coach would be wise to listen.

I heard "from another reliable source" that changes are surely coming! One of the most recent sips of tea is that bags being deleted like we are accustomed to, will soon come to an end. Less FP bags are supposedly going to be made.

Also, I think it's getting hard to deny that mff bags are certainly moving up in design and in price...

These changes sound interesting. I wonder how the current "lower end" stores will shift. You know the ones that only have signature and bags under $300.

I do have a mental price point. It is about $400. I recently exceeded it to $600, but that will probably be rare.

I have felt like I needed a new "aspirational" brand. But nothing has really caught my eye. I have liked a lot of the flagship bags. They are either out of budget or gone when they are in budget.

These changes are a mixed bag. But anyone cross-shopping MK outlets will find the prices to be a little too close to the regular price, and they have a terrible return policy and warranty in comparison to Coach. If COH keeps up the good warranty, they'll have an edge in the mid-range.

Thanks Hun - glad my collection is a good one
One of my sources told me the samething about less FP bags being made MONTHS ago, I told her but I have you to hook me up - she smiled ;)

Well then I don't feel so bad for stocking up! Lol

I will continue to grab up FP deletes until they are no more, or rare I guess :D

So thanks for enabling me :roflmfao:

Mff bags are definitely moving up in quality.

I'm interested in seeing what they end up coming out with for clothing, and the price point on those.

Frankly, I think I am at or darn near my max for bags and small leather goods anyway. I am happy with my collection that I amassed with help from this forum at pce or outlet delete prices!

I'm trying to work on my clothing wardrobe with as much effort as I did with handbags. So I would love to be able to shop coach for clothing! I've tried on a few coats and trenches here and there at the outlet and they seem to be very good quality.

I am happy that I collected so many Madison fp deletes while I had the opportunity!
same here.. i am super duper happy that i was able to score a lot of fp deletes in the outlet....at least, i was able to enjoy and experience the fun of "hunting" the next bag and getting it at an awesome price...

One thing that bugs me...didn't they start making bags in Vietnam or some other generally undesirable (for handbags) country? And now they are trying to hide those made in tags as well. I think if they made their expensive bags in a country other than China that it would upset some people. I mean, some LV lovers have a dang fit if their bag is not made in France (I prefer USA, but oh well).
Idk...some of this I like, and some I don't. I can understand most of it, but other points have me scratching my head wondering how they will pull it off.
