the emphasis on light gold hardware and saffiano leather.
YES. This...I love silver hardware so much more than gold. Most of the bags this season have been off putting because of all the focus on gold hardware along with the dressier vibe.

Agree what is with the either enormous bags 17" by something or 15" by something or teeny tiny. And the super thin straps.? Saving money by cheaping out on the straps, Coach?
Yeah I'm definitely not a fan of the super thin straps either. And all the extremely "flat" crossbody bags like the Bleecker daily shoulder bag or the Madison one just don't work for me because once all my stuff goes in, those bags will just look like a huge lumpy mess. :(

I am honestly looking forward to the fall bags. I'm not feeling much myself these days but when I saw the fall preview, my heart skipped a beat more than once.

Totally agree with this. And that's usually how it is for me, I love the darker colors so typically anything outside fall season is not very appealing.

I have to agree. As much as I love the look of the boroughs (that small navy striped one is adorable) they just do not make sense in my wardrobe. Maybe if I worked outside the home, it would be different. Just too many compartments. I also tried hard to accept Phoebe. The leather is just yummy. But again with the compartments. I just cannot do it. The new totes are pretty but they are not comfortable on my shoulder.

I am very happy with my Madison hobo. I should not be buying multiple bags a season anyway, so I guess it all worked out for me. Bring on some more slouchy bags!

The Coach styles are reflecting the handbag style trends this year of more structured, ladylike bags, thinner straps and chain straps. All designers have been putting out more mini versions of their bags and lots of crossbody styles.
There are less slouchy, big, shoulder styles in general.
I like the Borough bag but I don't have a problem looking to other designers too! Kate Spade has a lot of whimsical styles and bright colors. Micheal Kors has a nice smooshy drawstring bag I've got my eye on! :graucho:

Me too! Spring/summer styles and colors rarely capture my interest, so I'm content to wait for the fall bags.

If nothing else it will give my credit card time to cool off!

I feel the same last year brought so many bags older styles wish I had brought more same bag in multi colors as lots of lovely bags wont see again. I have said many times wish Coach could every year or so bring back a classic style as a special. Maybe a limited amount bet they would sell fast.
That's such a great idea!

I'm not only disappointed in many recent styles, but in the pricing and other strategies that appear to be business model changes. The erroneous or capricious judgements that their furtive algorithms , or whatever they are using, allow them to conclude are off. They know little about my collection, how much I possess, and how I don't resell or whatever. So I'm jumping to my own conclusions. Mainly, why try out this new line when the spring handbag releases from multiple designers right now are just killer? I'm looking at other designers, seriously looking, for new pieces for the first time in six years or more. Since I already posted on that , in the "Anyone Else Not Getting PCEs?" thread, I won't repeat here. But I will say with this "anybody Facebook" event, I feel I have some element of control now to let respond to coach in my own little $1,000 way. I had three bags on my list. I don't think I'll be getting them, even to try and see if they would work for me. The ramrod changes with design, business model, etc is a huge turn off. These are not the elements that drew me to Coach. Hopefully the new crowd they get to follow will appreciate their new systems and designs. I don't wish Coach anything bad, but I don't think I wish for anything they are offering. I am avoiding the "group think" that sucks me into purchase decisions, for now, and really reevaluating my loyalty to the brand!

I agree, I miss the bright colors of Legacy and Madison. I signed up for the Facebook PCE today and looked at the website but didn't see anything that really excited me.

Since I've been locked out of FOS since 12/13 and haven't been getting PCEs, I been stalking eBay for the older bags that I would like to get, like the men's bags in bonfire, chili, lime and ocean and the women's bags in peony, black violet, pink scarlet, etc. I got a few from the department store sales, but now their offerings are not appealing.

I like the acid green, but I don't like the bags that it is offered in. I like the Madison hobo and the Bleecker Cooper, but the colors are blah, except the love red and peach rose. I don't do neutrals!

What us wrong with you people???????

Just kidding! :)

Seriously, I too am without a current wish list. I don't know in what direction Coach is going or if all is lost temporarily or not. No one brand gets it right every season. I've been pretty loyal to Coach but I've never been brand exclusive. It has always been my bag of choice without question. I do agree that I would love to see the return of whiskey leather and all the little nuances that drew me to Coach to begin with.

My last couple purchases were non-Coach or an older Coach. My last two purchases were LV and MCM (I'm in love with that Liz tote). My last Coach purchase was an Abigail that I let get away few years ago. I'm officially on a ban!

I won't be purchasing anything anytime soon but this collection and the next means my wallet gets a break and I get to really enjoy my collection. This time next year we'll be singing Coach's praises once again.

Well...I forgot that I'm patiently waiting for something else in bright mulberry. Tempted to purchase another Preston but gonna fight it and wait for another style in BM.
