The info is sparse this year! But I just found this article: https://www.retaildive.com/news/nordstroms-anniversary-sale-sixty-five-new-brands/751447/

"Nordstrom has added more than 65 new apparel and shoe brands to this year’s anniversary sale lineup, including Sperry, Rothy’s, Alice & Olivia and Bagatelle. The company is also launching “Anniversary Big Deals” with deeper savings of up to 50% off on select products."
Thank you for sharing this. Amazing that it was "an all-cash transaction" when Nordstrom went private!

Glad to be back! I've been meaning to check for this year's thread for a while but life got in the way. Happy to see som many familiar faces. I caught up on the thread, and just like so many others, I don't really need anything...famous last words, haha. I started the year as Ambassador (down from Icon for a few years), and then during the first few weeks in January, I got bumped to Icon 🤷‍♀️ RSVP for the Icon event for Topanga. Excited for the preview tomorrow since I haven't received a catalog yet.

Sometimes I don’t even care about the later discount (unless it’s hundreds of dollars) cause I like having something special that I bought with yall on our annual shopping trip… like if you’re on vacay you buy a hoodie for that place but you wouldn’t go on Amazon and buy the same hoodie cheaper cause you want it as a souvenir from the experience. Probably not super rational but it’s all about bringing joy I suppose so I go with it.
I second this! Half of the fun for me is sharing this experience with y'all and seeing y'alls reviews on pieces I would never have given a second look. The past few years, someone in here has recommended something that didn't originally stick out to me, but I couldn't resist picking up based on the recommendation here and those pieces always become new favorites. I've discovered so many great brands through y'all and I'm very excited to see what we all find this year!

I really want to keep myself in check this year. I bought two items last year that I haven't worn. One is a Julia Jordan Sweater dress. Every time I went to wear it, I decided something else looked better. The second is a whole Veronica Beard suit. It is super cute, and I still love it. Problem is that I hesitated half a day in buying the pants, and they sold out in my size. I kept ordering pop-backs, and they kept getting cancelled. I ended up with one size too big. They should work with alterations, but I didn't manage to take them in over the last year.

So..... I'm curious if you have bought something that ended up being a mistake. What was it? Is there any back story? Was the item to blame, or did you fail in the follow-thru like me????

The (very small) company I work for now has products available at Nordstrom! I was really hoping we'd have a handbag or something included in the NAS so I could march onto my favorite thread feeling cool around all of you, but maybe next year?

If anyone is ever searching for Merino wool coasters, Nordies has you covered! Love this little bag for errands, but please note that I'm biased because duh, but I honestly enjoy using our stuff—which btw is handmade in Los Angeles.

The preview launches tomorrow online, but I'm still crossing fingers that catalog arrives today. Would love a new pair of Aquatalia boots (the ones purchased a couple of years back during the sale are still a fave).

✨Putting black slightly-edgy but tasteful Aquatalia boots out into the universe. ✨

I keep hearing phantom mailbox noises even though the mail delivery is usually like 5 hours from now. HELP.

I once got a Zella jacket but never wore it. I forgot all about it, and when the next sale came around, I was in my closet and found the tags still attached. I sent it off to Thred Up. I have a leather bomber which I got three sales ago, I don't think I have ever worn it. I'm living in Chicago now and feel like there will be many more opportunities to wear it, versus where I was before in CA before

Lol ok no one laugh at what I did but.... I bought this rag and bone black & white stripe long sleeve polo durin the anni sale, then returned it because I thought it was too much for what it was. Then it went to 70% off later in the year and I snagged it in my size, only to return it AGAIN a week later. I felt pretty stupid- I asked myself why I bought a primarily polyester top when I know damn well I do not mesh well with artificial fabrics.
