Not necessarily a mistake since I do use it daily, but I purchased a Simple Human mirror maybe 7 years ago? It's great but honestly, I have never bothered to download the app and am not entirely sure how to even use the settings to change the lighting to mimic outdoor/indoor/underground/whatever to apply makeup, so I probably could have just purchased a normal cheapo magnifying mirror. I barely even bother with makeup these days!I really want to keep myself in check this year. I bought two items last year that I haven't worn. One is a Julia Jordan Sweater dress. Every time I went to wear it, I decided something else looked better. The second is a whole Veronica Beard suit. It is super cute, and I still love it. Problem is that I hesitated half a day in buying the pants, and they sold out in my size. I kept ordering pop-backs, and they kept getting cancelled. I ended up with one size too big. They should work with alterations, but I didn't manage to take them in over the last year.
So..... I'm curious if you have bought something that ended up being a mistake. What was it? Is there any back story? Was the item to blame, or did you fail in the follow-thru like me????
You know what? I'm going to work on my winged liner technique and try to figure out that app to REALLY get max usage out of this mirror. [Insert 80s makeover montage featuring application of some harsh blush, but that harsh blush looks FABULOUS]
