My items are starting to come in. Question - since they already issued notes. What is the correct process for returns? Do I put the notes on the gift card and then do the returns or return the items and the notes will adjust accordingly?

I forget how to do it each year, lol.
I think you just return like normal, then your points go into the negatives since there's no way to take the notes back that they assigned to you (I find this so strange and dont think it benefits Nordstrom in any way so not sure why this happens!)

Oh they dont adjust the notes? I swear this process confuses me, lol.

I have two returns so far:

The Frye boots (the leather doesn’t seem as thick as years past). I went to Frye’s website, there are two versions: a regular and a flex. For this sale, I received the flex version which has thinner leather, IMO.

The pink and green Adidas run large. I ordered a 10 and have so much room at the heel.

Currently shopping in Scottsdale. They have a decent amount of inventory but it seems like it skews towards basics a lot. What they have stock of they still have tons of and then they have none of the popular items. Seems like they either have zero or one or two or like endless stock.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone post about these Zella cargo pants but they are my MVP of the sale so far.

I can confirm this. I speak with the authority of one who is only 14,239 points away from a $5 note.

I've had a few Dolce Vita pairs of shoes and they've been comfortable and seemed to last longer than a lot of brands at their price point, the leather is so much softer, a lot of brands at that price point seem stiff and don't break in.

This website does some research on brand ethics: https://goodonyou.eco/

Those brands you listed are great.

For shoes I mostly wear: Repetto, Aquatalia, Jimmy Choo (heels), Veja, M. Gemi, Birkenstock, Castañer Hoka/ On and Blondo
Thanks for the link. I’ll be checking it out.

Is anyone worried about getting flagged for too many returns?

I was so excited to find the Gucci sunglasses I wanted and then today I wore them for a few minutes and quickly realized they are not actually polarized. Between that and a pile of clothing that doesn’t quite fit, I feel like I’m returning more than I’m keeping this time.
Nope. I ALWAYS return items.

After my purchases this week I actually got out of the negatives which I was in for a full year! Now I have a $20 note again! The goal is to not return anything I bought so that I can stay above zero this time around

I worried in the past, and even got embarrassed once the associate recognized me and would greet me by name when I came to do returns, but then I got over it because even though I may return 30-40% of items I buy, there are probably people doing it way more often and/or abusing the system (aka returning used items that they bought years ago). I think if you return items new with tags, or used (but with a legit problem with the item), that is acceptable and fine.

I get worried about too many returns every sale and haven't been banned yet . It's hard to avoid returns when stores often don't have what we want at all or don't have sizes and things sell out so quickly that we have to panic buy everything we may want. Plus sizing can be so inconsistent and quality has been going downhill.

I always put the notes on a gift card and do the returns afterwards. I have noticed that notes do go away when you are in the negative for points.
