Also Nordstrom needs to figure out these double point days. It’s asinine that someone on the east coast activates a double points day at 1 AM EST and it’s based on PST. It feels like false advertising because 2 hours of double points is not a day, and there’s no reason for us all to have to default to one time zone. It feels dishonest at this point, the technology certainly exists for them to figure this out.

Yes, but we also used to grumble when we had to awaken at 3AM EST to put in our online order. Maybe they will finally change this next year.

The past few years I’ve wished they would do the in-store shop the morning before you can shop online…like Icons shop in-store preview party 8-10am and then could shop online that night at midnight. The way they do it now, we all rush to place orders at midnight and then try to make it in-store the next morning, so brick and mortars lose to online orders, and we make more returns from having to buy multiple sizes. Vs in-store shop first, then we could fill in what our stores didn’t have later that night at midnight. Idk.
This is such a good idea, and it would really encourage people to go into the stores and connect with sales associates.

From your experience, do the Wit and Wisdom jeans stretch a little bit after wearing or a lot (like an entire size)?

I’ve owned numerous wit and wisdom jeans. They are mostly polyester so they don’t stretch a lot like regular denim does. I have to replace them frequently because they wear out and develop holes where my thighs rub, but they fit me better than any other brand so I live with it.

I wish they would wait to issue notes. I shopped in store today and notes are already issuing. I would rather have a couple day delay so I can manage any return needs. I don’t want the dreaded negative point balance!
Right? I had a negative balance this morning and now I have notes to use. Honestly idk what difference it makes since your “level” is based on $ spend, not “points.” So I guess I’ll spend them, since they expire soon. They would fix it if they didn’t want us to use them, or at least that’s my logic.

Right - just make it a 24 hour time period from the time you activate, I think that would solve a lot of headaches. Though I guess Nordstrom wins by having people burn up their double point “days” on three hour windows.

I agree, this would be so much better and maybe then they could stock stores better also.

I wanted a bunch of new clothing items that I had no idea how they ran or how material would be when I saw them. I saved them all for the store today and saved myself sooooooo many returns and so much hassle. I ended up disliking 75% of the stuff I liked online clothing wise or the sizes were completely different than what I was guessing. I ordered the tried and true items I was restocking on but saved the new stuff for store.

Then I ordered the shoes for store pickup and sized down and they are still huge on me and one pair is sold out so I can’t even exchange. I prefer shopping in store but this year, my location was terrible with their service. I can’t even tell you how rude the employees were and I got there early. It was the worst I’ve ever had it in store this year which was very disappointing.

I think the SAs in-store should be able to place your order, it’s win/win. Then if you add things you want later (as we do), you could access the site at midnight.

And yes, exactly, to your point, we never know if our online orders will even get shipped, so if I see something in store, I’ll buy it even if I placed the order online. It’s silly.
This exactly, and then it takes away from someone else and you have the hassle of returning. Also, sizing is always the biggest issue for me.

This exactly. Because the store stock is so inaccurate.
They usually don’t have many in my size to begin with. Also, my store is smaller & doesn’t get all the things. I do want to pick things up in store tomorrow, but I don’t want to order them for in store pickup & have it cancel. I wish if they had to cancel an in store pickup that they’d reroute the order to the warehouse instead.

I did 2 day shipping last year & it took longer than 2 days. It was like a week before we got anything because they use Lonestar Overnight 🙄 More like Lonestar we put them in random peoples cars & don’t track anything so you’ll see it in a week to 10 days. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Do you think they are more comfortable than the Samba's. I have two pairs and I can't wear them too long. They are so flat
I think it depends on your feet. I know nothing about high or no arches. But I do know the Sambas are much more comfortable to me then the Gazelles. I order both half a size smaller. That said, I ordered the brown gazelles and wow! They are so comfortable, not at all like the other gazelles I own.
I went by downtown Seattle this morning briefly before starting work. It was heavy on the mimosas! I had to go hunting for a cup of coffee. Inventory overall was kind of low, but they did have a few popular items (including the toucan sweater, which I personally dislike because of the color scheme).

The stand out for me was this pink coat from St. John. I wish I had taken a photo in person. The color reads more lavender. It’s beautiful. I can’t swing a purchase like this without some advanced planning, but maybe someone else is out there looking for a gorgeous $1,000 coat!

Saw this at my store and LOVED it. It’s beautiful but I don’t think it fits my lifestyle. Still contemplating it though. Does this brand run large, true to size?
I was planning on getting a bunch of Eileen Fisher cotton sweaters but found out after seeing them in person that I cannot stand the boucle texture and I'm very glad I haven't ordered any yet.
Same! I saw Linzi from The Mom edit try it on and when I did I didn’t like the texture at all. Wasn’t wowed about the color either so it stayed.

Went for round two today to try on some athleisure after seeing the Mom Edit posts. Ended up passing on what they recommended with the exception of the Free People jacket. I ordered the white as a pop back but turns out I need the medium so I tried both on in the store and the other color I love! It looks purpley online and it’s more of we elephant grey in person. Ended up buying two other items from a couple of brands I’m not familiar with.
