The bulk of my shipment came on Tuesday, here are my reviews on some of the items:
Keeping:
Sam Edelman - Two-Piece Sleeveless Turtleneck Sweater & Satin Slipdress: The slipdress is attached to the sweater by a loop inside the sweater, which will need to be cut off in order to separate the pieces. I like the fit of the Sam Edelman more than the AllSaints Hana Two-Piece Crop Rib Sweater & Satin Slipdress set, and it is $160 cheaper. I will be returning the AllSaints sets.
Zella - Effortless Hybrid Raceback Midi Dress: I like the Black so keeping that one, it is definitely a maxi dress on my 5'4" height. I do not like the Moonbeam color on my skin tone and also I don't like that the padding is visible with the Moonbeam.
Zella – Sport Sleeveless Polo Dress: The fit for this year seems even better than last year’s version. Love how comfortable this is. Debating if I “need” both black & purple.
Nike - all the kids' sweatshirt, shorts etc in Hydrangeas White: I love the color and got all of them in Size XL. The T-shirt, sweatshirt and shorts fits me very well; however the sports bra is very tight and does not have support, and the sweatpants is a little long for me, returning these two and keeping the rest.
Returning:
Open Edit – Luxe Sculpt Rib Dolman Sleeve Sweater & Midi Skirt: There are a lot of materials near the shoulder and upper arms, making me look bulkier. Might look nicer sized down and on someone with longer arms. The slit on the skirt is a little higher than what I would like.
Lauren Ralph Lauren – Herringbone Wool Coat: It was definitely too good to be true for 100% wool coat for $189.99.
Nordstrom - Leather Bomber Jacket: I wanted to like this, but I could not help to stare at the pocket flap placement when it is zipped up. The magnetic closure of the pocket flap is a nice though.
Nordstrom – Mary Jane Flat: I was excited for this, but was very disappointed when it arrived. The shoe already look a bit scratched up on the front, the edges are very hard and rub against my feet, which I foresee being very uncomfortable walking in them. The shoes do not look durable. The padded soles are nice, but just not worth it for me.
Reiss – Arla Double Breasted Wool Blend Coat: The material is very thin, feels like felt material. Also, the fit is not working for me. I think maybe Reiss coat in general just does not fit my wide shoulder, petite height frame.
Debating:
I wanted to start a routine of running/jogging, so was looking at getting nice running shoe as motivation to get started. Currently trying to decide between the
On Cloud 5 Running Shoes,
HOKA Mach 5 Running Shoes &
ASICS GEL-KAYANO 30 Running Shoes. Anyone have insight on these? Thanks
