FreePeople shipped as well.
Still stalking the website… The Barbour trench was too tight in the chest and of course the 10 is sold out.
It is so nice, I might pay full price.
The much desired flat Mansur Gabriel were so uncomfortable and made my legs look even more chubby.
The leather was yummy and it looked well made.

Does anyone else do this? I will get excited and find certain things that I *think* I love right at the beginning of the sale, but then reality kicks in and even though I do really like the item(s), I see other things that I really like that are more realistic to wear, even if not very "unique", and then am stuck on what to do. This happens every year lol and inevitably I end up returning several of the original things that I was sure would be keepers.

For example, I go to work 3 days a week, I'd say about 60% of my work clothing is by Eileen Fisher, and I rarely wear dresses to work unless they are simple and cotton or linen. I wear a blazer to work maybe 1-2 days per year. I avoid synthetics because I already have a sweat issue and synthetics make it 100x worse. Now then why did I buy the striped Rag & Bone polo knowing that it's 100% synthetic?? I know better, I am going to return it.

Also, my original love was (and still is) the nordstrom rib zip cardigan in grey- Do I also NEED the grey nordstrom blazer? I decided that since I got the cardigan, I will return the blazer.

I am still questioning the navy Frame dress I got, I really like it but even with the sale price of $220, that's a lot for a pretty basic cotton dress, I'm more inclined to just wait for one of Eileen Fishers great sales to get a 100% cotton dress for around $100.

I need to also analyze my closet- See what I currently have and what would actually make sense to add to my closet, rather than just adding stuff that I like.

I returned a size 10 trenchcoat and it says “return in transit”, fingers crossed it pops up soon!

I think we pretty much all do the 'love at first site' thing. You've done a good job of analyzing what will actually work for you after seeing the actual items. Plus if there is an item you love but maybe isn't so practical, you feel better about the splurge.

I got the Cladwell app, you upload your clothes so you can see what you have and what you wear. It takes some effort but you can log what you actually wear, and see the items you don't wear in real time fall to the bottom of the rankings.

I've used this to assess situations like this, like to i actually need a blazer i woldn't wear to the office? Or i really like this dress maybe i should invest in the one that looks similar that's better quality.

It really helps in sales like this to know what I like and what looks like a deal but in the end I can tell that I would never wear it and it wold most likeley be sitting in me closet by time the next Anni sale rolls around.

I use the Indyx app which Im sure is a similar concept! It does take a while to log everything but it is pretty decent, I havent used it for many months though, I probably should get back in there again.

This is me, I’m working on it. I go into the office 1-2x per week and don’t need anymore workwear. We’re allowed to dress business casual so I don’t wear most of my blazers, dresses etc. so I’m banned from buying anymore of those items.

I have a dress problem but my new criteria is that I won’t buy a dress unless it has pockets. I was tempted by the Frame dress, but I have a bazillion navy and black dresses from
James Perse, Theory, BR, EF, so I was able to convince myself that I didn’t need it. If it was offered in a fun color, I might splurge, but so many of the NAS dresses are black and navy this year.

Yeah I am working on it too! I had a really bad shopping problem, its still lingering but not anywhere as bad as before. That is smart tho- Stick to your criteria! I am lucky with my job in that it's also business casual, and it became way more relaxed ever since covid. I can wear jeans daily if I want, and I can get away with certain styles of sweatpants and joggers. Actually I can probably get away with any kind of sweatpant or jogger since no one seems to care lol!

Yeah I compared a few that app looked cool, but the AI outfits they setup on the Cladwell app were much more intuitive than the rest of the apps.

My big order finally arrived. It was actually packed well I was a little surprised.

Here is what I'm keeping
T&B sweater, this gray one feels different from the navy one I ordered, I still like it and will keep both.
Mother jeans, it is described at bootcut but it is slight. They fit nicely
Nordstrom washable silk PJ's. I have really been into these lately. I have two sets from Quince and Lunya. I always get them in a large vs a medium. They don't stretch out like other PJ's.
Cole Haan suede boots. Went for the brown. These are so comfy, and low-heel.
Nordstrom Boots, I wanted a Chelsea boot with a higher shaft.
Nordstrom Ribbed sweater, I got this in a large for a slightly oversized fit
The Nordstrom organic towels, feel pretty good. You never really know until after a few washes and usage. I got two sets
Natori sports bra. I like the fit so much, I may order another one. I love it when you put a bra on; it is comfy from the start.

Going back
Vince Wool blend cardigan. I think that I needed one size up but I didn't really love it.
Rag and bone jeans. The Frame bootcut fit me better so keeping those
Zella leggings. I didn't like the fit, they were a little too short on me.
Spendid Waffle Cardigan.. It looks nothing like the picture. Cut very small
VB mixed media top. this was okay, I liked it but didn't love it and just decided to go back.

I ordered this Kiehll's set not realizing it was for men and used it last night and it is great.

My order from 7/11 finally shipped. So annoying. I know I am returning most of it because I have been able to try on in store and/or get similar/better things from the Shopbop sale.

Sidenote: does anyone else get used to "liking" posts on the left side on their phone and then almost "report" people by accident when they are on a computer because the report button is on the left and liking is moved to the right? I have almost reported many of you. Thank goodness they ask me the reason that I am reporting the comment to alert me or you would all be banned by now!
