Hello, fellow dumpster fire putter-outer!Did we have the same Monday?! I was busy at work yesterday (only person in the office) and I managed to slice open two of my fingers on random metal objects in the office, ugh. I quickly added a few things to WL and my bag but was became distracted by some other office dumpster fire I had to put out and by the time I was free to browse the app again, Nordstrom shutterdown! Happy for everyone whose orders were honored though and I’m looking forward to your try on pics!
Wow, were you able to recover some of the items that shipped, or the customers were willing to pay something?Hello, fellow dumpster fire putter-outer!
I was also distracted by work yesterday, but the whole Nordies Add to Cart fiasco reminded me of a web glitch I had to deal with a few months ago. I work in E-Comm and a glitch happened on our site — customers were able to add items to their cart FOR FREE. So many orders shipped out ($300 bags, etc) and as the sole customer service person (no one else has the level of patience to deal with people) I had to reach out to customers about their orders. I was actually appalled by the number of people who KEPT placing huge orders (totaling $0). We are a very small company and really took a hit that day on orders that shipped before the glitch was caught.
If my brain actually registered the live purchase button yesterday, I may have gone for a few things, but I really feel for the employees who had to do the damage control. Web glitches suck. Thankfully, Nordstrom's was a pretty harmless one. (Loading up the popcorn for everyone's early reviews!!!)
I am so so sorry that happened. It does make you realize how many people will do whatever they can get away with. Do hope your company recovers…Hello, fellow dumpster fire putter-outer!

Yes, some customers reached out like, "Um, I didn't expect to actually receive these" and some were willing to accept return labels or an invoice for items they'd consider keeping for a 35% discount. I'm VERY generous with discount codes so like Oprah, I was like "YOU get a discount code and YOU get a discount code".Wow, were you able to recover some of the items that shipped, or the customers were willing to pay something?
If they do sell out, there are usually great sales throughout the year. I've scored one of the nylon small fries for a better deal than the NAS price. Just add what you like to your wish list and keep the notifications on. You should still be able to snag one if you don't catch one this round! Seems that Longchamp has good sales and Nordstrom does a pretty good job keeping up with price matching.I was finally able to look at the previews online. I'm interested in the Longchamp items (I am a Longchamp girl), but I have a felling the mini bags are going to go fast by the time I get to shop. Thanks to Tik Tok people have been interested in the pouches and the mini bags for a couple of months now and everybody is on the quiet luxury bandwagon, I have a feeling those small bags will be the first to go.
Wow. Rude of some of them. Ok can I ask where you work? Curious about the bags etc.Yes, some customers reached out like, "Um, I didn't expect to actually receive these" and some were willing to accept return labels or an invoice for items they'd consider keeping for a 35% discount. A few people were mad because they felt they deserved their $1000 orders for free since it was our mistake. Eh, I was just thankful most people were kind. It was such a mess. NEVER AGAIN.![]()
Also if you are ever near a Longchamp outlet I hear they always have good deals. If they do sell out, there are usually great sales throughout the year. That's good most people were nice about it. But wow, some entitlement by the others!Yes, some customers reached out like, "Um, I didn't expect to actually receive these" and some were willing to accept return labels or an invoice for items they'd consider keeping for a 35% discount. I have the small nylon Crossbody in black that I got at full price five years ago and it’s still in great condition. I highly recommend that size as it’s lightweight and also great when it’s raining out.For those asking about more Longchamp, there appear to be a few more that popped up once I checked the notifications I had on the app. Some of these appear to be from the “Club” line as I have that exact same navy/red one from years ago.

Correct! You can get one complimentary corner repair (I took my daughters to a Longchamp store). Heads up-it does decrease the size a bit as they sew in the corners so that takes up some fabric but it was a good repair if the frayed corners bug you.Mine is MIF. I bought the orange one 2-3 years ago and an eggplant one a year later. Corner wear, regardless of the country of manufacture, is inevitable with nylon Le Pliages, unfortunately. LC supposedly will fix corner wear but I haven’t sent any of my bags in.
OK this is weird. Most of these do not show up under the Anni preview search under totes or bags. So I’m wondering if there’s a bunch of stuff popping up that we can’t see because it’s not coming up under the preview search if that makes senseFor those asking about more Longchamp, there appear to be a few more that popped up once I checked the notifications I had on the app. Some of these appear to be from the “Club” line as I have that exact same navy/red one from years ago.
