I’m so jealous I was busy doing family stuff yesterday and missed the glitch! I’m icon so I don’t have to wait much longer but I am excited that you guys will be able to tell me what’s worth it! Please post lots of reviews!

My list isn’t anything crazy - mostly a bunch of shoes for fall (VB Arlie loafter, Weitzman Linsi boot, maybe also the Linsi pump in navy), some Nordstrom brand stuff (how cute are the Open Edit 3 piece jammies??), Lunya PJs and some stuff for my kids. Disappointed there’s no bags that are calling my name.
 
I haven't received the email yet but man I wish I had more sense in my pickings! I doubt anything I ordered would be at risk of selling out before it gets to be my turn. But since then I've remembered several things I "need" that I might not be able to get. I had settled in with a Diet Dr Pepper to build a wish list, not play a round of Supermarket Sweep! If you need a friend who is a quick thinker in an emergency I'm not her. :lol:
 
My hunch is that this is a true preview and more items will be revealed in the next week or so. For example, we know that Longchamp expandable tote will be available in more colors than just the two that are in the preview. I also didn't see any La Ligne sweaters (and definitely would be interested in purchasing one of those if they pop up)! And if folks are saying there aren't enough inclusive sizing options, I really hope that gets resolved as well.
 
I enjoy a good sale but I’m not sure this is going to be it. It hasn’t officially kicked off and we already have a major loyalty/technical/merchandise problem.

It might be time to rethink the tier program for multiple reasons. My status goes up and down every year. My money is no less valuable if I didn’t spend enough to get to a higher level on my off years. Once knocked down there is no incentive to spend. They might want to consider reworking the criteria once one is an Icon or Ambassador. They clearly have the disposable income and are willing to spend. Demoting doesn’t seem wise. Missing by a few hundred dollars as one poster wrote is simply ridiculous.

I was on the site at 12:15 so I had the opportunity to purchase but figured it wasn’t going to go through and obviously that was a miscalculation on my part. Their IT department had months to get this right yet still managed to create a PR problem. The system should have been checked prior to going live. It’s not like the button to place in cart was hidden once you landed on the page. It’s simply sloppy and frankly incompetent. I’m sure corporate isn’t pleased but the onus is on them at the end of the day. If their upper tier customer can’t get what they want they’ll have to pay for the error by figuring out how to make it up to them or risk them taking their money elsewhere.

I spent a few hours going through all the offerings and didn’t really think they had a great deal to get excited about. The merchandise itself wasn’t anything I haven’t already seen, looked particularly well made to last or priced at a point I couldn’t live without. I’m looking for fall/winter pieces and it’s so early I’m sure plenty of opportunities will pop up be it from the vendors themselves or other retailers. I see a few posters already finding better deals on other sites. I think that’s a really great idea.

Please post reviews if you were lucky enough to score yesterday. As an Ambassador who likes investment clothing which is usually limited, I’m not sure this is going to be a sale for me. My plan is to live vicariously through all the goodies you post and likely sit this one out.
 
Morning all! I did not receive that email from Nordstrom however I did wake up to see that one item (Olukai convertible sneakers) shipped, and well I did pay with my Nordstrom card so now I wait for the remaining items to ship :smile:. For anyone interested, this is what I bought and will review for you all once they get here:

That Cinq a Sept blazer was fire! ALMOST makes me wish i did not work from home so i had somewhere to wear it LOL!
 
Ive been an Ambassador/Icon on and off since pre Covid and a Nordstrom shopper for the past five decades. There are glitches EVERY YEAR. It is what it is for me, I’m not bummed that Influencers or anyone was able to get in an order during the literal one hour it was open. For me, that’s the fun of these first world problems. I completely agree the selection is not what it used to be, or the quality for that matter. But I remember when you could walk into school and smell pigs in a blanket being prepared for lunch, or buy a blazer with full lining, or have your clothes steamed at the store prior to them placing them in a garment bag before you take them home. Things are just not as they used to be. We can choose to shop with them or take our money elsewhere. I live in the PNW and Nordstrom is a PNW company. So I’m pretty loyal to them. And I’ve had some pretty horrific experiences with them through the years racial profiling and other ugliness, but I do what I can to let the powers that be know and keep it moving. Life is too short for anything less.

Off to add that darling three piece Open Edit Jammie’s to my list.
 
That Cinq a Sept blazer was fire! ALMOST makes me wish i did not work from home so i had somewhere to wear it LOL!
Oh yeah when I saw it I got super excited- I have always wanted a cinq a sept blazer and the color is ideal for me. I also work from home but I travel a lot for work & attend lots of conferences so I figured this would be a nice snazzy outfit in a sea of men wearing basic button downs and khakis :biggrin: now, lets just hope the sizes I got fit well.

I love those sneakers. I have a white pair that I wear all the time. May need to grab another color!

Tell me how you like the All Saints cargo joggers. I opted for the Zella cargo joggers (one of three being shipped)

Yea during the glitch there was only one color for the Longchamp expandable tote. I do think there will be more items to choose from.
 
Ok, I must have had my head in the clouds yesterday because I selected in-store pickup (rather than shipping) for the four items I purchased. Haven’t received a cancellation notice, my order shows as being in process, but I also didn’t receive the e-mail saying they’d honor the purchases if made with a Nordy card (which I did). Anyone else in this boat? My items are supposed to be ready for pickup today but I can’t imagine them letting me walk around the store with a shopping bag full of Anniversary Sale merchandise.
