Thanks to everyone who shared comments about belt bags! I bought the large Fjalleaven belt bag during NAS and it was perfect for my vacation!
Woooo SAME! I rocked that thing all over Jackson Hole last week. Sunscreen? Got it. Advil? Got it. Can of rose bubbles? Got it. You want me to hold all of the kids’ geodes? Toss em in here - pile that weight on these hips! :drinks:

This has been an issue in the US for a while. Even more so since covid people have zero bad feelings about doing it. Add in the more common use of face masks to the mix and the fact that very few are ever held accountable for it.

Anyone else having problems with returns via FedEx? In past years, the returns were via USPS but this year was my first time with their FedEx returns. One item was delivered by FedEx to Nordstrom on August 4th but still no refund. The other item shows received by FedEx on July 31 but no tracking after that so no refund. :(

I just chatted in with them for the 2nd time in a week and now they are escalating both, calling them both "lost returns" even though the one was received by Nordstrom.

Weird story, I bought something online and returned it(from Saks not nordies). The return label was a USPS label so I returned it to USPS and got a receipt. Didn’t think anyone of it until a month later I never received the refund. I found out even though it was a USPS label it was really being shippEd by fedex. So they went to the usps to pick it up and basically the tracking showed the pick up from usps and then it vanished in their system. I filed a cc dispute at that point and was issued a refund because I got the return receipt from usps. A month and a half after I got the dispute resolved saks apparently got my return and finally refunded me. I don’t know if was lost by fedex or if it was saks sucking at processing the return. It was weird because USPS showed it as accepted And then picked up. They said once fedex picks it up they don’t track it anymore. Fedex had zero tracking info. My guess is if Nordies actually received one of the the returns is that they are just so backlogged that they haven’t gotten around to processing it yet.

Not a return to Nordstrom, but I, unfortunately, had the experience of a return via FedEx to Chanel. FedEx received it because the expected date of delivery was updated after I dropped it off, but then it went "missing" in FedEx's possession. It was escalated several times, with FedEx saying they never received the package. I don't trust FedEx after that.

Not a return with FedEx, but an order. I placed an anniversary sale order on 7/31 for a few pairs of jeans (PAIGE, so a few pairs of jeans is $$$). On 8/4 I received the shipping notification email, with an expected delivery date of 8/10. By 8/10 it still hadn’t actually started tracking, it still said “Shipment information sent to FedEx… From Nordstrom facility”. I was leaving for a trip at that point and had all of my FedEx shipments placed on hold. So we get back… and this one package wasn’t in my pile of packages.

It was 18 days after I had actually placed the order and there was no movement on the package. FedEx said the tracking number was created but they didn’t receive the package. And Nordstrom said it was marked as shipped on their end. I finally got Nordstrom to give me a refund but it was really frustrating!

This is why I get a receipt from any company that ships my package, even if I used a prepaid shipping label. They can't dispute receiving it if I have a receipt in hand showing that they took my package.

Update to my two missing returns: Nordstrom emailed me this morning that they are refunding me for the item that FedEx lost. They emailed me that they are unable to refund me on the item that FedEx showed tracking that Nordstrom received from me on August 4th. RIDICULOUS. Now I have to file a complaint with BBB and my state attorney general.

WTAF?! So basically “we confirm that we received it and nope we’re not refunding you!” Gosh that is one of those things that isn’t a huge deal in the grand scheme of life but makes me SO ragey at the time and is SO distracting. Ugh. Sorry!!

I wish I had taken a screenshot of when the Nordstrom site showed they received the return last week (because now it doesn't show that info) but it shouldn't matter because FedEx tracking shows they got it and I have a receipt from FedEx showing that I dropped it off with them (proof that they got it). You are right that it isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme, but I shouldn't be forced to pay for an item that they have in their possession. It is crazy that I have to jump through a hundred hoops to get this refunded and of course it was using their branded credit card so they can do what they want. I think I will be closing that card after this is resolved one way or another.

On top of that, I replied to the email where they refused to refund me to share the proof (FedEx receipt picture and FedEx tracking printed out) only to get a reply talking about some item I never bought and that they were sorry I didn't receive that item. WTH? Why can't their employee actually read the history of the email and order and reply with relevant info?

Sorry for my vent everyone. Just wanted to share what could happen in your return by mail experience. I have shopped with them for many years and shop the anniversary sale every single year. I have never had this problem.

It is funny you mentioned returns by shipping. I purchased a pair of expensive earrings that were used and sold to me. The earrings were so dirty that I couldn’t bring myself to return them back to my local Nordstroms.

Instead I opted to ship them back. They provided a prepaid label with USPS. It took less than a week and it shows “received” in the app. Now I’m waiting on the refund which I guess will be about another week.

I’m a little nervous because I always do returns at the store.
