I have to be honest, as fun as this sale is, shopping at Nordstrom has become exhausting. The orders take a long time to ship and to go through the mail. And returns have been very difficult, am I the only one? In the past few years I've had to follow up on a lot of returns that have been received by nordstrom, both confirmed though tracking and on the order page on their site. I just returned a bra ($50) and they received it earlier this month - the order page stated "Received by Nordstrom" they researched it and claimed basically they can't locate it now and after some discussion they are refunding me but there's a message stating I should insure my packages. What insurance covers loss in their warehouse? This has happened a few times one time I had the shipping weight confirmed for a pair of shoes and they still claimed they couldn't find the return in their warehouse.
I'm just nervous about shopping here anymore if this keeps happening. I just don't have these issues with Saks, Neimans and other stores. Anyone else seeing these issues?
Ever since a poster here did a big haul return during the sale and it got lost, they were sh!t out of luck. I've made a much more effort to return online items IRL when possible. If not always get a receipt for the return. I don't know why they said you should insure the package that's insane. Also aren't things sent first class mail automatically insured for a specific amount? I know for some returning IRL isn't always a option.
I hardly buy from anywhere that I can’t return in person. Saks closed several years ago. I will buy something from Saks once in a blue moon. Last time it was a YSL bag that I had to send back. It gave me heart palpitations dropping off the package at FedEx.
Ugg as long as you get a receipt for the return you're going to be covered. I returned something to saks via USPS because I didn't know they also were accepted by FedEx. I went there because that's the label that was provided. Apparently FedEx picks up the items from usps and after that the tracking stopped. Ended up filing a dispute with Amex because it was over a month since I sent it and was given a refund because of my receipt. Literally 2 months after that saks finally refunded me. I ended up with a double refund. I didn't feel bad about it because of how awful the whole experience was.
