I think the pace is different because of only one day between shopping levels. It evened out the playing field a little. We got what we wanted. I could lament past NAS sales with you. We used to live near Woodfield in Schaumburg IL., I believe it is still the largest U.S. Nordstrom. I would make an appointment with my SA & we would start in the morning & end in the early afternoon & I think she would show myself & my eldest, anything she thought we might like. It was somewhere around 2013 when they had Burberry, Chloe & a little YSL, etc. I don’t remember things selling out, we always went the first day. They didn’t distinguish levels back then! Oh the good old days

If anybody needs a long sleeve top to wear under jackets, I recommend this Tee. Even though it is $85 which seems too high for just a tee shirt, it is actually a very lightweight sweater made of lyocell and cashmere. I always need things like this in San Francisco, I don't want to add any bulk under a blazer- this is perfect.
I got my size medium Reiss cardigan and its perfect!! A small (like i originally thought i might need) would definitely be too short in the arms.
Im also waiting for my nordstrom twill pants in a size 12 (fourth size im trying lol) and the midi scuba skirt to arrive tonight. Ill take some photos as long as lasership doesnt get here at 9pm again.

So far I've received everything I ordered except one Madewell shirt. There are two things left on my wishlist that I might buy. The bill for my card just came in and it isn't pretty at all.
To address the sale this year and how slow the thread is, I have some ideas. For some reason this year there was no real break out product. People are stalking things but not so much as we have in the past. I gotta agree though that Nordstrom really, really needs to do something about their IT dept. Having worked IT, I personally think heads should roll.
Inventory and stock are a joke this year. I noticed there wasn't any Tory Burch or ClareV this year. Now for clothing I am going to address the plus size stuff, since I don't shop the regular sizing(except for socks). No Zella this year and I DO like Zella. Only two BP items, none of which appealed to me. The Caslon tees I buy every year had very limited stock and by the time I could buy no long sleeved tees were available. This is a Nordstrom house brand and that's just shady! I will give credit for one thing; they had a decent selection of work wear. There was NO Nike or Adidas in plus, actually NO activewear at ALL. Some of the work wear in plus was just butt ugly(they must hate us, but they love the money we spend). All in all not impressed.
I had a very curated list and I got most of it. What kills me though is the repeats. Treasure and Bond has had a one shoulder sweater in the NAS for the last 3yrs. Caslon had had the leather moto jacket in the sale for that past 4yrs, and guess what? It'll be reduced even lower than the current price later in the yr. If they don't sell in sale maybe they should rethink the product. Some repeats are welcome, like the pajamas and basics(Caslon tees, socks and undies) but somethings not so much.
Of course the pandemic changed alot. I'm pretty much retired, so I don't need work wear, I needed more casual stuff and I found some but there should've been a better selection!

It was totally hilarious. She said she was going to have “[real name of sabrunka]” wait and then proceeded to read off all my personal information out loud to confirm it over the phone. So now we really are friends. Then she was like “it worked!! Yay!” And abruptly handed the phone to sabrunka, presumably because she thought we’d like to have a bonding moment together right at that moment on the cashier’s landline. I just had the Rag and Bone Whip Stitch sweater ship! I’ve been stalking it since the beginning and have only seen it back in stock once (when I bought it). I haven’t heard anyone talk about it and the reviews are mediocre. Any thoughts? I’m glad I get to try it in person!
I also just ordered that little Marc Jacobs white snakeskin bag. It’s so cute and I didn’t even see it before (was it sold out?) I haven’t heard this one discussed either. Anyone see it/try it?

My Zella blazer arrived today and I love it! It’s roomy enough to be able to wear a sweater underneath but it also can be worn with a button down shirt for a polished look, or a T shirt for a sporty look. Hope you love yours!

Ordered the PG Sadie Loafers and the Sante Booties because they are getting good reviews and a couple of my other PG purchases didn't work out so I'm hoping these work better for me. EF is way better IRL than in pictures it looks like a plain basic item. The first time I saw it IRL and I touched a sweater it was so soft I loved it.
Woodfield is the biggest? It feels so small to me, it’s the one closest to me where I do my returns. It’s looking very sparse inventory wise it made me think they might be closing it.
I got my GA jeans and while I like the look they’re too big I definitely need a size down. They’ve been sold out for a while so I don’t anticipate a pop up before the sale ends. I also got the XXL Zella performance jacket which I fit better than the XL it’s still snug. I’m going to keep it for now because it’s a great color for me.
