Thanks to those who posted about the Dyson. Very good feedback I'll keep in mind. I have a friend who has the corded version and she was going on about how it was the best thing. That was two years ago so I plan on checking to see if she still likes it. I have a shark right now and I like it. I guess I'll see the model that is offered and what it does for the money. I do like Miele brand as well. Never heard of Sebo though. I like the idea of cordless and being able to detach and do stairs etc. I'll just dig a little deeper.

I have two Dysons (upright and handheld). They are easy to use and maneuver. I also live near the only Dyson service center in Texas, which helps whenever I needed to take one in. I got both of mine at Costco when Costco had a coupon for the vacuums.
Glad you brought that up about service centers. I just checked and there is a Dyson service center about 40 minutes away. That's a good point to keep in mind.

I bought a Dyson to replace a Shark a few years back. It was whichever one they sell at Costco. I hated it. It was noticeably heavier than the Shark and that really made a difference in maneuverability for me. Last year I bought a Kenmore bagged upright from Amazon and I love it so much. No emptying a bin that never gets clean again and much better suction. I much prefer just changing the bag every few months. I also love the lift away option for stairs. Also at less than $200 if it dies on me in a few years I won't be upset about it.

I have a corded version for 6 years and it's great. Not sure if which model but it works great. I can't speak to the cordless version though unfortunately.

I might be interested in the Dyson vacuum. I know their products are highly rated. Anyone own a Dyson vacuum? and like or dislike it? I think a Dyson vacuum was part of the Anniversary sale a few years back.
I have a Dyson cordless and I love it. My favorite part about it is that it can be used like a regular full size vacuum and also a hand-held. So you only need one machine, not two.

I have a Dyson stick similar to this and will never go back to anything else. SO convenient and makes vacuuming less of a chore. Highly recommend!

Hi

I have a Dyson and it’s the best ever. My mum got one recently too and loves it. I have back problems and I can use it. My mum is 90 and can use it. The lack of cord, height and ease of use make it wonderful. It also Does the job well but it’s the ease of use that’s the winner for me.

I plan to just go with expedited shipping for anything I order. I don’t like things hanging in shipping limbo and then getting order cancellation notice because it sold out in the meantime.
For sure on the expedited shipping. But even with that it still usually takes a couple days to get pulled and out the door once the orders start piling in. I'm more curious about items that were shipped from store. It seems with the tight windows that once inventory gets low those items might go before they can get pulled. I might have to make the trek to Nashville for in person shopping this year!

Costco gets “made for Costco” items, usually the model number will be different from what’s sold by other retailers.

I think Dyson is good for vacuums. We have a Dyson upright and a Shark stick vacuum. I can’t recommend Dyson fans though. We have one of those pretty white loop ones and it’s neither cooling nor warming enough for our guest bedroom. This was a Costco purchase however and now that I think about it, should’ve been returned.

We have two and they are great. We installed them on the wall in basement and inside the entryway closet so they charge up automatically and take up very little space for storage.
