Based on the language I quoted above, it doesn't look like there are any restrictions. So all purchases of any item, or gift cards, seem to be included. It sounds as if it works just the way it normally would to accumulate points and notes, except they want us to spend now for some reason so they're giving us an incentive to do so.

Yes, this is for the current promo. When you say gift card purchases, you mean if you use a gift card to make the purchase? If so, that does not count. Here are the restrictions:

I'm trying to save money for an Away Carry On, so I don't have much to spend this year. I'm going to stock up on underwear, a bra, and some long sleeve tees if I find any I like, beauty blenders.

Well, funny that the fine print says non-transferrable because when I go onto Nordstrom's website, it's right there at the top so it seems to be available to anyone with a Nordstrom card. Do you see it when you're on the site?

I keep a twitter account purely for customer service contacts. It’s so much faster than phone calls in almost every case and leaves a record. What a day and age to live in...

Anyone have information on what baby gear is going to be on sale? I’m due in August and have been holding off on buying bigger items until I see what is on sale!

Congratulations! I’m due at the end of November so I have a much different focus for this year’s sale. I hope they have some baby and maybe even maternity items!

I am an icon and was just on the phone with customer service and was told that even icons (outside of the LA and NY ones) can’t shop the sale online until July 12th. So frustrating that they are giving out such conflicting information!

On another note anyone have the lookbooks for baby and kids yet?!

I'm Ambassador level and I didn't receive anything. I'm a bit worried I won't be able to get in without the card mailer.

I called customer service this morning unrelated & asked about the ambassador shopping & she said all ambassadors can shop early dates in store & online. I hope she is right, but you never know

I'm really confused about the sale this year. I have Icon status this year (and probably the only year), but I have not received a look book, have not received that card for entrance to a Nordstrom store, and really haven't received any communication about this sale. I actually called the store I can go to on July 9, and I was also told that I cannot buy anything that isn't in the store until July 12, which is really odd!

Can someone clarify any of this for me? TIA!

I'm also very confused about the sale this year! I am in NYC and got the early shopping invite starting today-- I placed an order for pickup at the Trunk Club location in midtown. Then I realized I might have ordered too much stuff to carry home easily! What is the point of picking it up in person? Won't they be deluged with bags upon bags of orders? Can I return things there or do I have to take them away and mail them back??

Definitely waiting until regular online preorder time for any additional purchases. Should have only ordered the few items that seemed most likely to sell out. Oh well.

Also, FYI that I see NO maternity items in the sale this year (at least in the items online for preorder today). Bummer.
