I am thinking about the Longchamp leather tote, but I see that the black and navy is not on sale... just the three other colors.

For now- the black and navy usually are part of the sale. I would be surprised if they are not added.

Do you shop Saks Off Fifth or Neiman Marcus Last Call online/in store at all? I always see tons of Longchamp leather totes online and in store. I don't know if the color you want is available, but it's worth a look.

The good thing about buying Longchamp during the NAS is they are MIF. You can count on it (at least in the past) since they are exclusively made for the NAS. I have never been disappointed with the nylon and leather totes I bought at the NAS.

Does anyone have an SA they recommend for the Nordstrom at Topanga (Los Angeles)?

I don't know if they can do it ahead of Friday, but they CAN pull things ahead of an appointment. I just called the store directly and customer service was incredibly helpful. They're going to have a sales associate reach out to me to set up an appointment pull some items for me. I'm hoping to have a full list I can send her/him/they ahead of time

I also found out that the Topanga will be open from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday, which is earlier than usual. I'm hoping I can rearrange my work schedule so I can have 1 or 2 blissful, child free hours of shopping. If I was't pregnant, I would START with a Mimosa to get me in the right mind-set - LOL. I have so many notes saved up for this event, I'm going to have fun!

Can they pull things ahead of time on Friday? Do you have to have a personal shopper to do that?

I saw it in person and it was still hard to tell. It’s a rusty burgundy. I was having trouble with this shade for some reason. Like I wanted it to be a red or a burgundy but it wasn’t either of those....

Bummer, I was hoping it'd be a true red. Thanks for the info!

The easiest one to find again is the Caslon leather jacket from last year. Even stranger is I remember seeing it on the Rack website a few months ago but I don't remember for how much.

That jacket is in this year’s NAS! I noticed it immediately when Joe’s Girl posted all of the pages on the ICON online sale day, as I purchased it last year after a massive stalking effort. It’s a great jacket.

Over the weekend I asked at least three Nordstrom employees at my local store if the store was opening early on the 12th. Every person looked confused and said no. However, I just visited my store’s page on Nordstrom.com, and what do you know? My store opens at 8am on Friday, listed under Special Store Hours. So I advise you all to check (and perhaps double check) with your store again, the employees may not know about the hours, or perhaps they have changed. I’ll be there at 8 on Friday, so hopefully the website is correct. If not, I’ll just be whimpering by the locked doors like a forgotten puppy

I think this is the 9th year I’ve shopped this sale, and I miss the days when not only were the employees pumped about the sale, but they went the extra mile...it used to be an event. I remember being greeted with the eBar drink of my choice the morning of the sale, and I was in no way a big spender. It used to feel like magic, I think social media and blogging has transformed it entirely. It’s still fun, and I look forward to it every summer, but it’s just a completely different animal now.

Mine opens early Friday too. However, I was hoping it would open early Wednesday when Ambassador level starts in store.

I’m updating my earlier post: last year’s jacket had a removable insert so it looked like there was a sweatshirt underneath. This year’s version looks like it has a removable hood only, FWIW.
