Nicole making people cry? She just seems so wimpy, never fails to amaze me how deceiving looks can be. I remember reading an article by a fashion magazine editor here in Aus about how they always brace themselves for the celebrities with demanding diva reputations and they typically turn out to be wonderful to work with whereas the ones with the super sweet/girl next door reputation often turn out to be bi*ches from hell.

So what you are saying is all the money goes to the salaries of Aniston, Roberts, Kidman, etc and not on hair and make-up?

Most projects the money is spent on talent. All other departments are union scale. You may be able to negotiate a higher rate & department budget with the line producer if you've won awards or its pertinate to the project. However, keep in mind they can choose which positions to hire and they may not be full time. For example when I worked on Neighbors (the 1st one) the budget was 20 million. We only had a greensman (guy who moves plants around) Monday, Wednesday & Friday to save money in the grip department. The camera depatment saved money by only shot hand held and we had one stedi cam operator. No money for dollys or the grips to push them.
Some people have personals that they pay out of pocket. That may or may not be union. My friend is Charlize Therons personal colorist. She pays him a yearly salary and he goes where she goes. My other friend who won a hair Emmy this weekend for Westworld has been Jack Nicholsons personal for the past 30 years. He pays her out of pocket for things like press days, cutting his 4 strands of hair at his house but if they are on a movie she's paid out of the budget her union rate. Lady Gaga has non union personals so they do her in her trailer on American Horror story and she pays them out of pocket. Due to lot rules she isn't allowed to be touched up on sey by department hair/make up. She has to go back to her tailer.

Just goes to show ... even mild celebrity worship is silly, haha. At least it's silly to me.

I saw Shaylene come out for the first Emmy they won. Her hair is now long and blond and she looks really different. No idea why she isn't in the group pic.

Keep the fantasy! She is still incredibly beautiful. I just wish I hadn't met her.:frown:

Shailene said during an interview that she doesn't own a TV and then went on to say that she doesn't understand how people have time to watch TV. She said she's always liked to read a book. Such a stupid thing to say at the emmys when she was nominated for a tv show. She was appropriately dragged by the internet for her comment.
