As for the line, the public sale line is usually pretty long. The private sale is never that bad...but I have never been there at the opening. I usually go a little later, there is always still stuff to buy.

How does somebody get lucky enough to get invited to the presale? I thought I had a very good relationship with my SA, but I guess not:girlsigh:. Any advice on how I can get a formal invitation in the future?

Spend another $100,000 at Hermes. You don't have to spend it all at once, you have the entire year until the next sale, to which you should then get your invitation. :girlsigh:

Favorhermes, I think it depends upon your store and where your SA is. If you are able to become friendly with an SA in a NEWER store where they don't have an established client list, that will surely work in your favor. Remember, each SA is only allowed to extend 10 invitations. However, the managers have discretion, so work it baby. No need to spend 100,000, but being friendly and normal is probably more in your favor.

The scarves are usually the last season as well as seasons prior. It varies from year to year, but generally, pretty recent. Sometimes they have the really FUGLY colors that somehow don't look so bad at 40-60% off! haha.

Thank you for your advice. I have a good relationship with my SA but he is very established. Is it worth it to get a VIP invite and go the day before the opening? How crowded is it?

Post office screwed up my invitation delivery. So a question to those who got their invites.

What time does the private sale start tomorrow?
And is it at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street New York, NY 10011)?

I should've spoken to my SA today. :s
