SO,:reading::reading::reading: re-read the thread

And confirming the following:

9/21 - invite to 2 day private sale ....
9/22 - private sale (is it held @ each individual stores?)
9/23 - open to public ( '' .... '' )
Met Pavilion - just called and they won't devulge info
- suggestion to call H.

Can someone let me know when? PM

Just called H Dallas, 'yes RTW sale has been on going, and maybe for a few more days' .... 'for bags, you must be physically at this store'
.... but, if you happen to be in NYC, ditto for the sale, called them too .... they said: ' should be on going for a few more days.'

I also inquired about birkins and lindy, 'yes, we do'

I want to come from Germany to this Sale .
What does it mean "private Sale"? Where can I get the invitation ?
In Europe such Sale calls "solves privees" - what means "private sale", but its open for everybody and you don't need an invitation for this!

fashionistaO: Happy shopping!! Are you going to the NY store? I just came back from a NYC weekend trip and stopped in at the H store on Madison ( my birkin is there for a spa and wanted to check on the status) No idea on what they may have on sale, as I never made it past the wallet display. I fell in love with a yellow dogon combined as soon as the SA brought it out. After it was wrapped and ready to go I didn't take the time to browse............ sorry!! I had told myself I would keep the spending down as I had shopped quite a bit beforehand and meant to only look for something on sale , but when DH offered to buy me a small gift.................... oh well :)
They had some gorgeous display bags, lots of bolides, esp larger travel sizes, in really fab colors. There were a few birkins as well. They had really cute coin purses ( monkey, frog and pig if I remember correctly). I didn't see any all leather GPTs or lindys, but again I stayed on the first floor at the front of the store.

9/21 - no sale at Metropolitan Pavilion
9/22 - private sale at Metropolitan Pavilion
9/23 through 9/26 - open to public at Metropolitan Pavilion usually around 10am through evening
9/27 not sure if the Sale is still on on Sunday

As far as the stores, I have no idea but they never have as much as the "big" one

Hermes-Addicted: solves privees in the US are not all that, what matters
more is the relationship with your SA.

If you get a chance, take a trip to FSN, I hear/confirm prices are more attractive than US. Was there last year, but didn't come across too much inventory.:shrugs:

Hi, I will be in new York on the 23rd (leaving that night). Can anyone please advice what time usually people start to wait in line on the first day of the public sale.

Do the New York Hermes stores open on these days (from 21 to 23)??

I know they will have garden party bags on sale but will they have other bags??

TIA for your help.

I think people start to queue a couple of hours before the doors open, at least on the first day or so. The stores are definitely open. And there won't be birkins or kellys (I am fairly confident) but other bags like the whitebus or others may be there in limited quantities.

Apparently, the sale is a big secret. There's been no announcement from the Metropolitan Pavilion, no mention on any of the blogs or sample sale websites -- nada. Know what that means?
