I have a bias against line-sitters. I got to a sale one year (the invitation day) really early as was like 15th in line. Just before opening time, a group of about 10 women came and took the place of the guy line sitter in front of me. It was infuriating not to get in with the first group.

I would have been livid. How could they allow one person to hold ten places?? :pout:

That would have royally ticked me off, Luli. If one person was holding a spot for one person, that I could understand, but 10??? Oh hell, NO!

The etiquette of this is well established by now and that wouldn't have been allowed—by either other people in line or the management of the SH sale.

That happened to me once. A guy was in line in front of me and turned out he'd been holding the place for a group of women. I was not happy.
