Ladies and Gents, the sale is fantastic!
By the time I entered the sale at a bit after 9, the line was already to 31st street. As has already been stated, it's longer now...
When I entered: Scarves galore. Bangles galore. I jumped into the scarves and found two large mousselines. No more large scarves like dip dyes (I saw one woman holding a fewI broke the commandment about coveting
). There were also a small number of sequined/embroidered pieces.
But then I discovered my holy grail: the 90cm tea-dyed scarf from several years ago. For $240. I nabbed it quick.
For quite some time, I just let myself go through the scarf selection carefully and repeatedly. There was a huge range of patterns and colors, though the colors did concentrate more on the yellows and greens and purples. A nice range of 90cm dip dyes. Here is a list of what I remember seeing (patterns only)many in only a couple color ways and even just a couple pieces:
Le Robinson Chic, Trésors Retrouvés, Le Laboratoire du Temps, Casques et Plumets, Tigre du Bengale, Galop Chromatique, Les Cannes, WaKoNi, Les Bolides, Tous les Bateaux du Monde, Pique Fleuris de Provence
Im sure there were others, but I dont know the names of the 90s very well
.
The limit is 5 and I easily used up my quota.
By the time I left at 10AM, the scarf drawers were vastly diminished. When I arrived, they were overflowing down the length of the table
now it looked positively mediocre. I dont know if theyll replenish stock.
By the time I left, bangles were also vastly diminished, though there still seemed a lot.
There was no more silver.
There were a few (yellow mostly) smaller leather bracelets.
There were a few leather bangles.
There was gorgeous RTW and knits.
There were no housewares and no perfume. Im sad about the latter. There were no watches. Bummer.
There were plenty of shoes. There were lots of heels and a few heeled high boots.
There were no belts.
There was a vast array of gorgeous ties for $75.
Here are the 5 scarves and 5 bangles I chose...
