Yay!!Well, she's here and she's a beautiful classic bag. Of course it's getting dark so I will wait to photograph until I have good light, but she looks like Goofydes's bag.
I have been carrying mine for over a week straight and still love and it still looks wonderful!
OK! Finally had a chance to look 'er over and here's what I found.... she's almost identical to my Legacy Patricia. Size, configuration, etc. are very, very similar.
It's like a more sleek, less frills version of your legacy one. Like I said, if the storypatch didn't say saddle bag I would think it was a Patricia's Legacy. I didn't notice on my bag until the other day (and I can see it on yours) that the back pocket curves slightly and is not straight across. Very cool!!
As usual with Coach, there's the added name confusion going on as well. The original classic unlined bag is the "Patricia's Legacy," which I used to own but gave to a friend (and wish I hadn't, lol.) My current Patricia is from the recent Legacy collection, lined in fabric and with the added tassels. Hence "Legacy Patricia."
And I noticed today that I did not get a dust bag... what the heck?? My bag was factory wrapped and sealed in the plastic Coach bag...but no dust bag. Not sure if this was an oversight or if the dept store exclusives don't have 'em. Did yours come with a dustbag?
One difference I found; the Legacy Patricia has an open pocket on the inside back; the 75th Anniversary LE does not.
I decided to call Bloomingdales and ask about the dust bag. The customer service agent did not know whether the bag is supposed to have one, but she graciously gave me an additional 10% discount on the bag.

Congrats! It's a keeper! Thanks for the comparison shots. I really like the back outside pocket. Do you think it's a bit larger than your whiplash saddle? Maybe a little wider?

I checked in the plastic Coach bag that my bag came in and yes, my bag came with a dust bug. I went to check on Bloomingdale's site and the bags are gone. They only got the black and the saddle and all that is left is a web ID# if you google it. I called Bloomingdale's CS to see if they were going to get anymore and she said that they sold out of their allotment Coach sent them and it does not look like they are on order to get more. I mentioned that they said limited edition and she said "Ah, that is why I can't find it." Apparently these are indeed limited editions and Coach only set a certain quantity to each verified Coach retailer. She said if it does reappear on the site, it will most definitely be a returned bag. That clears up the are these really limited edition question. Glad I got one!!
