I don't think so! The only thing I would do is wear that part with the Louis Vuitton facing out and not the other way so it won't rub against your pants or jacket etc. I think the lettering should hold up quite well.
I was curious if you decided on a bag yet in the color mastic? I am in the same boat trying to figure out if I should get the Speedy B25 or the Mazarine?
Saw this yesterday along with the noir 20, forgot to take a pic side by side. The mastic color is pretty and what initially drew me was the Mazarine yet most of my LV have pleats. I have never been into the speedy but this might be the one.
i had the same question! my SA said she didn't think that would happen, and since it has not happened just have faith that LV will take care of it if there really is an issue.
and i went ahead to buy the bag[emoji4] i have faith in LV's after-sales service, it has not let me down yet, fingers crossed
Interesting point I actually wear mine the other way round I have moved the key bell and my gold LV charm to what is in effect the back to make the slip pocket more accessible. It works better for me that way but I will keep an eye on the gold letters, so far OK after nearly 3 weeks of every day use.

Lockme II bb also in mastic. Seemed to have more of a taupe tone in this leather. Beautiful but may be too small for your needs.
Thanks! I saw this picture of the lettering on someone's bag, which is the most zoomed-in photo I've seen thus far, and I can see the 'L' is not as prominent as some of the other letters. I'm just very curious how the lettering will hold up long term. I know in my LV wallets the lettering holds up fairly well, but I have had some minor chipping away in one of my newest LV empreinte wallets purchased just a few months ago. My wallet from six years ago has perfect lettering inside after much use so the lettering just concerned me. I've never had to have any repairs or such, so thanks for letting me know your SA informed you they stand behind their items. This helps a lot, thanks again! I just purchased the 25 in Noir tonight. This is my first non canvas bag and I just love it! I didn't think I wanted a bag to wear cross body but I changed my mind. The letters on the key holder (not sure the proper name) was rubbing off so the SA is ordering a replacement part. I have two speedy 30s so I hope this is big enough!
I received my speedy 25 in noir today and the first thing I noticed that the gold font was cracked and or unevenly imprinted on- the LV-made in France stamp on the inside is perfect but not the outside. So unfortunately I think it will happen as the bag ages- so disappointed!
The outside of mine looked perfect and even. I will check it when we get back to the resort. Are you going to keep yours?

Wow!! What a disappointment! Sorry to hear you had to open your package to come across that. As soon as I saw that picture I posted of the cracking letters I knew this was most likely going to become a problem. It's such a beautiful bag otherwise too, so that's so frustrating. I had my heart set on them releasing the empreinte speedy in black for a few years now. I kept asking the SAs if/when it would be released and always remained hopeful when they kept telling me they had no current plans of the color. I was so excited when I heard they were releasing it, but I'm not going to purchase it after all. There's no way I could spend that much on something that has such a defect. I have an empreinte wallet purchased just a few months ago that has minor chipping away of the lettering already and that's disappointing as well since my older LV wallets have perfect lettering. Empreinte leather relaxes and becomes more supple in time so I can't even imagine what the lettering will look like a few years out. I have a couple of the old model empreinte speedys and I was always concerned with giving them too much use because of the handles pulling the leather up slightly, but I'd much rather deal with a little bit of sagging and pulling in the old model than chipping away of lettering on the new model. For me, I'm going to just enjoy my old model speedys and pass on the new one. So unfortunate. Thank you so much for sharing with us so we can make a more informed decision
I would definitely get the artsy so you don't have to be concerned or baby the bag the way you would have to with the speedy. You might have to give more attention to it to prevent from scratching the lettering or rubbing it away- if it even stays on on its own over time. The artsy however is stunning and doesn't have this kind of defect in materials. Empreinte leather is the best!
