new rule - no Kelly or birkin to walk ins??

It is all part of the game with Hermes in US. If you buy other items bracelets, watches, other bags, you will get a Birkin or Kelly by staying in touch with sales person. There is absolutely zero chance of getting a B or K without buying other products first. I have been offered two B's and one K this year by becoming a very good customer for other items. At least this way I get other items and do not have to go reseller route with the risk and overpriced bags.

Is this only US or also Europe, like Paris? How high are changes you can get a Birkin in Paris immediately?

but i think u can walk in get because not now, is a few years ago~~~ now no walk in can get b or k~

Yes still can walk in & it's all by luck. DH walked in an US H boutique by himself for the first time a month ago & was offered a club B35 GHW. Turned down because 35 is too big for me. Back in March I was in FSH the first time, on second day & got my K28 box sellier. Just keep your hope high! Good Luck!

I see B and K on shelves, but very rarely. When they're on the shelves, they're sold to whoever pays first. So it's possible to have A B or K, but you may or may not run into the one you want.

I am so glad that I have my dream B. I don't want to spend my hard-earned $ on stuff I don't want just for the CHANCE that MAYBE you can get the one you really want. I will still go into H and if I find something I like, I will buy it, but not in the hopes to be sold something else in the future.

I'm with the others that suggested buying from a reseller if they have the B or K that you really want. There are so many more available thru them or consignment stores than I remember there being 5 or 6 years ago. Many of them are sold for lower prices than retail and still in great condition.

where are you seeing used ones for less than retail? i don't see many, if they are then they are vintage (box, barenia, usually).

Consignment stores and online. I'm not saying there's a boatload of them for less than retail, but a few years ago, I saw almost none. And when I did, they were ALL for more than retail, used and new (of course, the new ones were about twice as much as retail).

Hi I am based about 3 hours away from the London bond st store. I am looking to acquire a 35 gold birkin, but don't know how to form a relationship with an SA from so far away.

I am confused as how to move forward with this ? Do you still have to buy numerous items, or can you request information about when they will be getting birkins in store ?

Honestly the sa's don't know until the day before a delivery what is in the shipment, then they begin to allocate to VIP clients. Throughout my time in obtaining a very particular leather and HW combo I was taken to a fitting room and showed the birkins that arrived for the week! While being shown I can't tell you the amount of times I heard people asking the SA for a birkin and the SA saying "sorry haven't seen one in a while", meanwhile I was two feet away viewing two or three options. It's all a part of the game with Hermes. You need a relationship with an SA, not always one built on money and spending although that is the easiest way. With time if you get to know a SA and you build up a relationship that's the key to getting what you want with out buying

I didn't buy anything else in the store where I got my first B recently, but I did in other stores around the world (only items I really wanted). However, I guess other stores (especially on different continents) don't really count, so it's actually possible to get a B, even as a walk-in who isn't a US resident

OMG kevintheking,
I totally agree with you. I once walked into the Madison store and had a nice chat with the SA. He told me the same thing...sometimes buying stuff from them works, but they do sometimes offer birkins to people who are walk-ins. I was going to purchase something to establish the relationship, but he told me no need to if I didn't need them, and he would try to get me one. So I am hoping to get a black one soon.;)

Yes I wanted a black Togo with ph in 40cm and I was very set on that combo! At least once a week the SA called me offering what came in but I always declined until the black was in stock! I never bought a thing from the SA before however we would chat weekly when they called to offer colors, mostly about non Hermes topics. I got the black in about 8 weeks! It's disgusting to be forced to buy other things to get a birkin! In the long run I think it's harmful because once you get the bag Hermes may loose you as a customer! I know now that I got my bag I am now in the market for a new pouch card case and wallet to go with my bag and I am now loyal to that SA since they got e my birkin.

You are lucky though, as your SA called you every week. My SA hasn't called me though, although he said that he would call me when he reserve a black one for me. He has only seen color ones recently. Not sure if I can rely on that..I am keeping my fingers crossed. Are you in NY?

Wow you got lucky. I asked for a Birkin at Madison(even bought from that sa before) and she practically laughed at me.
