There have also been some great deals at Winners and today, this was tempting me: Winford double zip satchel. I really like the leather on the Winford bag because it's NOT saffiano type leather, not patent (not as stiff - spazzolato), not as stiff as polished- buffed so it's smooth but not the super easy to scratch type leather. Anyway, this red is a very pretty shade of red imo. They have one in Lauren Tan as well - classic. Boy, if I could I'd have a collection of these including black & blue but that's why I got into trouble and had to consign & purge my collection - I pick up too many! My photo doesn't do the bag justice.

I brought home a red Winford today. Saw it at TJ Maxx for much lower price than the Morrison (at Bloomies) so had to give it a try. Wasn't really looking for a red bag but anyway......I like the organization of these triple zip bags. The Winford and Morrison are about the same size and the red is pretty.

Oh, congrats! I LOVE the leather on the Winford and YES, that is one gorgeous RED :graucho:
I like the Morrison except that I honestly prefer silver hw on that bag which means I only "want" the grey version. The grey is not in stock locally but that's ok - I have too many handbags :p

Congrats again and wear her in good health. Show us pics if you have time!

I generally prefer silver HW too. But I'd been looking at the various double and triple zip RL bags and this one showed up for a good price. I also like the size of this one - not too large.
Not absolutely sure she's a keeper but I don't currently have any other red bags and with winter coming, it's a better time of year for red.

Oh, how much was the Winford at TJMaxx if you don't mind? I actually asked my sister to look for one in TJ Maxx near her house, but so far none. I like that it is not saffiano.

it seems to me these bags are intended to be similar to the prada saffiano
you just don't like that textured leather?
I was actually looking at one that was a navy tote with more textured leather. I liked the leather and that it had silver HW but wanted the triple zip style.

I know all designers have created versions of the classic Prada saffiano leather bags but it's not my fave leather; not even when it comes to real Prada bags or say LV Epi leather. This type of leather does not feel luxurious to me: instead it feels sterile to the touch and just too plasticky but that is just me. But I do go crazy for double zip & triple zip org type bags!

Oh and I know saffiano type leather is super popular even when it's not a copy of the Prada double zip. What pops into my mind are MK Hamilton totes and Selma bags...Kate Spade...yea, saffiano type leather is very popular.

And now, before I skip over to the confessional on Pinch Purse Island, I want it clearly understood, it wasn't me, I didn't do it. Knowing my fondness for my two Ralph Lauren bags (and having the same nose for a bargain as her mother) my DD surprised me today with a Ralph Lauren Hayden Reversible bag. Given my iPad's insistence in only allowing me to post one pic at a time, here is my Hayden in her logo embossed nylon black hobo mode.

Next, here she is in her leopard bucket bag incarnation. Who ever said a leopard can't change her spots? Certainly not Ralph Lauren!
