the Hancock Satchel

the Taylor Satchel in pewter spazzolato leather

And just this past Saturday, I picked up another Taylor in french blue textured leather

I really like the quality you get from a very reasonable price. I have a few accessories like a wallet and wristlet. RL zippers, no matter how small and insignificant, all have beautiful designed metal pulls - a little thing that shows a serious attention to detail.

those are pretty. I've been checking out the RL bags at DSW, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Unfortunately the ones I've seen are too structured and too large for me.
I like that leather on the Taylor in blue. Is that bag very large?

Just purchased this beauty for Spring/Summer. Needed a pop of color to cheer me up, the color is called Rasberry/Punch. And the feel of the leather is kind of like epi leather, it's to die for.

Do you like? Are you a fan of Ralph Lauren handbags?

NICE! I love the color. I saw his scarf print tote at TJ Maxx and was tempted.

Over the years I have fallen for a LOT of Lauren by Ralph Lauren bags - bought only a couple but also had to consign when I needed to purge my collection...sigh...not that I didn't still like the style or love the bag.

There have also been some great deals at Winners and today, this was tempting me: Winford double zip satchel. I really like the leather on the Winford bag because it's NOT saffiano type leather, not patent (not as stiff - spazzolato), not as stiff as polished- buffed so it's smooth but not the super easy to scratch type leather. Anyway, this red is a very pretty shade of red imo. They have one in Lauren Tan as well - classic. Boy, if I could I'd have a collection of these including black & blue but that's why I got into trouble and had to consign & purge my collection - I pick up too many! My photo doesn't do the bag justice.

I was browsing in the web site Vinted, and I saw a pretty good deal on a very nice looking Ralph Lauren hobo in black and tan leather. I got it, and although it was pre-owned, it was in fairly pristine condition. Take a look:

Okay, here's the amazing thing. The price was 800...pennies. Yup. $8.00. Okay, I'm lying. There was the 5 bucks for shipping, so it actually was $13. In my super bargain posts, this one is my all time great.

Missmoimoi, your Ralph Lauren is gorgeous! You captured the color perfectly. My smaller Winford satchel is the same color and leather, but you put my ineptitude with my ipad pic to shame! Well done!

Ralph Lauren Newbury Double-Zip Shopper in Port. Love the color, it's a very deep red.


The first pic is with flash. The second pic with a Furla I bought (also for National Handbag Day ) is without flash.

FINALLY! So now I know I'm not the only person in the universe who love LRL bags! I don't see anyone around my area with them, mostly Coach or MK. But I see them in Macy's and I love the quality for great prices! Really, take a look at the LRL counter one day and see if you find any goodies. I don't think they get the attention or credit that is deserved, same with Fossil bags. They have great lining, excellent leather quality and great hardware. I have the Sky Blue Taylor satchel, 3 large shopper totes, a coin purse and makeup case to name a few things. I think they are great products!

I agree with you - they are great products! Great value for money. I only have 3 LRL items so far (the Newbury double-zip shopper, equestrian print tote, and equestrian print wallet). I love them all so far, and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more items from the brand.

I just bought a new Ralph Lauren double zip, and I am having a hard time getting a good picture. It's specchio leather embossed with the Lauren equestrian bridle print. Black with gold hardware. I was so excited, I hadn't even gotten the tags off, yet.

I'm really tempted to give this a try as I like the organization and it resembles a Prada bag. But I'm used to softer bags. This is way more structured.
And what about resale? If you get tired of the bag, can you get something back when you sell?

Hello! Yea, I went back to find the red Winford but it was gone. I like this version WAY better than the Newbury which is more common but I don't particular like saffiano type leather. This 3 compartment double zip comes in croc embossed, patent, patent embossed etc - so many variations but I truly like the Winford (smooth leather but still not overly delicate). I would have bought this bag (red or black top picks but there were no black ones and although Lauren Tan is classic, I'm not doing med browns right now) but I digress...I still have a substantial handbag collection that's why I hesitated on the red Windford otherwise, it's a GREAT gorgeous handbag!


I have consigned loads of handbags now. Depending on how quickly an item sells, I don't get much but still, at least I'm purging and getting a lump sum cheque for all my troubles.


Please post pictures of your Winford no matter what colour - I think it's gorgeous in ANY shade but sigh, I can't collect - I have to keep my bag obsession in check. Like I said, the Newbury version can be found everywhere but I don't want anything from that collection (it's nice but not tempting).

not sure if it was the winford that I saw.....I know I want the double zip and the bag needs to be medium to large size. I think these bags look nice in black but I have three black leather bags so the brown or tan would be a better addition for me in terms of color. I'm sure it's nice in red too but I haven't seen the red IRL and I tend to not want to carry a red bag as often. I had a beautiful red Tods bag and I found I just didn't use that much.
