So that was you outside the confessional? I should have guessed. It was such a lovely ladylike little chuckle. As for my sin, I have a black nylon purse insert I plan to use with the Hayden to keep both surfaces safe from any untoward pen mark etc. I also cut and shaped a removable leather bottom to put inside the bag with the smooth side down and the suede side against the insert. It is such a lovely unexpected gift that I want to enjoy it for years to come.
Hopefully a reversible bag is in your near future as well!

Here is a Ralph Lauren bag, not Lauren Ralph Lauren. It arrived at downtown winners a while ago but I didn't report on it. The tag says msrp $1950+ and it's $799 cad. It doesn't feel like real fur, but the trim is leather/suede. Maybe it's faux fur or real fur? I'm no expert on fur
I would be surprised if it was real fur. If it is, it should say so somewhere on a card or tag in the bag. Real fur requires a different maintenance routine than faux fur.
Yes, I guess you'd be very right about that. I didn't bother removing all the stuffing etc and searching/reading any enclosed cards or tags. Just by touch, it really feels like a nice thick faux fur which is far less maintenance! It's sort of cute in a way but it's an oversize bag. I was hoping to find out more about it just by Googling but there's no way I can pay $800 for it just for a "fun" bag. I've noticed that designers are coming out with fur bags but this one is truly pretty darn big.
Here is one similar bag that popped up when I googled. The ocelot print hair calf is real hair calf or real pony hair, I suppose?
The construction on these bags is pretty impressive. I had a problem with edgecoating on the handles of a more expensive bag cracking and I know others on TPF have had that problem with premium bags (PS for one; I think Bal too). The edgecoating on my RL bag is perfect - doesn't like it's going anywhere.
