Just because someone doesn't share the same opinion as you doesn't make their opinion 'ridiculous' or give you the superiority to label them as a 'conspiracy theorist' and mock the person. We all have a right to share our opinions and be treated respectfully. Let's try to disagree politely rather than call names and assign labels. Labels are for our handbags, not each other.. The idea that they MUST be doing this to save money is quite ridiculous in my opinion. It costs a lot of money to replace existing packaging with a newer design. Too many conspiracy theorists on tPF!

I think it's very common for brands to revisit their packaging... I would not read too much into this decision. The idea that they MUST be doing this to save money is quite ridiculous in my opinion. The brown boxes are nice, but they are very heavy and extremely wasteful in my opinion. I often decline the box when I make a purchase because I will end up tossing it or giving it away. How many boxes can one have? Also, I am just excited for something new!

Since the conspiracy theorist comment came across as mocking to me given the tone of your post, it 'obviously' wasn't a joke or I'd have 'obviously' gotten the alleged joke, but let's move on and get back to discussing LV. I did not think this was real leather. Was it?I am honestly so glad to hear that they are getting rid of the leather ribbons. I have always found that so so wasteful! I mean I totally get that leather is used for bags as it is a very good durable material but for packaging? That is just so wasteful and mindless in my opinion. Just imagine how many animals gave their skins just so we could have a cute brown leather ribbon around our boxes...which we probably just end up throwing away anyway. That just makes me kind of sad
