I forgot the add the boxes are foldable for packing as well.

I still can't get over how hideous the WHITE SATIN Gucci dust bags are... Every time I see them in my closet I want to puke.

OMG this is actually GREAT NEWS! The current packaging has been around for just over ten years and it's time to refresh it in my opinion. I still have several of the Épi-style boxes with the classic Royal blue ribbon... I can't wait to see what the new style will be and I am sure it has been very well thought out, especially after the recent Gucci packaging fiasco.

If it's really yellow, it will make my day! It's one of my favorite colors!

I know! It has to be beneficial for them in some way. Maybe they were losing money making those leather cords LOL

I think it's very common for brands to revisit their packaging... I would not read too much into this decision. The idea that they MUST be doing this to save money is quite ridiculous in my opinion. It costs a lot of money to replace existing packaging with a newer design. Too many conspiracy theorists on tPF! :lol:

The brown boxes are nice, but they are very heavy and extremely wasteful in my opinion. I often decline the box when I make a purchase because I will end up tossing it or giving it away. How many boxes can one have? Also, I am just excited for something new! Packaging is a HUGE marketing tool and I assume if the boxes change, the shopping bags will change too. What's better than fresh shopping bags walking up and down Rodeo Drive to promote the brand?

Lol. I'll miss those expensive cords!

I don't like the new ribbon as much. The cords were good for sending items because I could tie the box closed and put it in a shipping box since it slips back on so easily. Ribbon isn't as easy to reuse. You have to tape it to get that same secure wrap around the box.

(And I know not to store in boxes. But if I re-sell, I send the package back as it came to me.)

Oh well. Times change!

Gucci just changed their packaging as well. I was surprised when I received a white & black box instead of the usual brown. I don't like the white because it will get dirty from storage, but it is just a box...So I'm cool with whatever LV comes up with.

Do you guys think they will change the small drawer style box for small leather good? I hope they will revamp them with new planned skin design. That what I really love about LV packaging! [emoji24]
