I don't think mustard yellow and mid blue compliment each other. There are so many beautiful colour combinations I don't know why this particular one was picked. I suppose plenty of marketing research was put into this decision but I don't find it very pleasing to the eye. Oh well, I don't particularly like orange either lol.

Because complimentary and complementary have two different meanings. I surmised based it based on your choice of the one that means flattery, dear. Many apologies if I did not understand that you used one word but meant another.

I was not wanting a change. I really love the brown. But I am surprised at do like the change. I think I would not like the new design if it weren't for the blue ribbon. It's a good change!

OMG this is actually GREAT NEWS! The current packaging has been around for just over ten years and it's time to refresh it in my opinion. I still have several of the Épi-style boxes with the classic Royal blue ribbon... I can't wait to see what the new style will be and I am sure it has been very well thought out, especially after the recent Gucci packaging fiasco.

If it's really yellow, it will make my day! It's one of my favorite colors!

I agree with you, I hope this ends up being a lovely color. However, my OCD is going to lament the discontinuity of my small box tower. #strugglebus

I think a fresh new change is nice. I like the old boxes, but I especially like the older epi textured boxes.
I don't really keep the boxes anymore anyway. I have one small epi one (glad I saved it). I'll keep one brown one,now I need a new bag to have the new box [emoji12]

Yellow-gold paired with bright blue is THE quintessential Provencal color combo. I think the packaging is inspired by this, as well as LV's heritage.

I think you a right. And I like the nod to the past but it is not pleasing to my eye. I am sure many will love the change and many will not.

Well if you are right I wish the new boxes had patterns on them. I think that would make very nice boxes that people would want to keep.

I think the new packaging is new and refreshing. On the internet it looks lovely, but I guess it's another thing when you see them in real life.
