New Drag 22: Thoughts?

I adore the Drag and have been searching for one in excellent condition on the preloved market for nearly 2 years. Not necessarily a bag I need but would add to my collection nonetheless since I adore its craftsmanship. I like the new version but would not pay current Hermès prices for it (although I have to admit the additional strap could be useful and I like that addition to the design). Still hoping I will be able to play around with it in the store.

I love the reworked Drag bag - it looks strong, balanced and the detail of the covered lock is very nice indeed. However, personally, the size is completely useless for me. I have more to carry than a phone and a packet of tissues. Bigger would help to shrink the effect of the contract stitching which is a bit overwhelming on such a small scale handbag.

I love the look and the size of the bag but loathe the lock - am I the only one?

The lock is huge. It looks very heavy, too. Not my cup of tea.

Agreed, too much lock for a fairly delicate-looking bag.
I reaaaalllyy don't like the wide contrast strap, but that means more for those who love it!
The Drag is apparently very labor-intensive, so a special H bag in that way :)

I love the hardware on the original Drag bag. It is a quintessential, elegant H closure which is missing on this new iteration. Personally, I feel like the lock is bulky and unattractive. It kind of has a Chloé vibe. Although I love a shoulder strap, I don’t think this bag is improved by one. I really think it is hard to beat the beauty of a vintage box Drag bag.
