New diamond with halo setting...too much bling/ ring for my finger...?

I recently got my e-ring halo'd and LOVE it. YOU have fabulous taste and I wouldn't change a thing. Get the ring of your dreams and wear it......it will look gorgeous.

My e-ring is more narrow than my wedding band, but I think it looks gorgeous and I feel that if it's too "matchy-matchy" it's less interesting.

Lemme see if I have a pic.........

Your "HALO" obsession proved right.

Contessa~ Your e-ring and band are Gorgeous!!!! Congrats on your dream ring. I also am not a matchy tupe of person and I actually enjoy the small bit of space that helps distinguish the rings! Thanks a million for the compliments and thank you for sharing yours:smile1:

Awww....thanks. I've always been an admirer of your taste- it's exceptional!

I personally think your new ring will look amazing with the bands you already wear. Your DH is spot on! I can't wait to see your ring once it's on your finger!

Contessa, I love your wedding set, especially, your e-ring. It's gorgeous with the halo! I agree with your thought that when the wedding band is "matchy matchy," it's less interesting. I'm glad my DF had gotten me the Perlee ring to wear with my e-ring and matching band to create a different look.

Op, don't let anyone influence you on what looks good or not. Wear what you feel comfortable with. We are all different and have different taste so just as long as you love your set, that's all that matters.

Agreed.
The wide band is disproportionate to the band on your GORGEOUS engagement ring. I honestly feel that it takes away from it's true elegance.

I personally think that a band that matches the shank of the ering would look better next to it. It's not too much bling but the band is too much for the ering. Overwhelms it.

Do YOU like it?

Is there such thing as too much bling?...lol. I really loved the idea of putting this halo ring next to my existing wedding band, but a few peoples reactions gave me the impression that it is tacky or too much since my wedding band is rather wide/ blingy. Ps. The diamond I purchased is a 1/4 ct bigger than the one in this setting and I have worn my wedding band as a stand alone piece until now.... Any thoughts from my fellow jewelry lovers???

Missrocks - Would you mind sharing the name of the jeweler who made your GORGEOUS ring? Thanks so much! :p

Wow, those are gorgeous rings. I think I just saw your sapphire ring mentioned in Pricescope too recently.

Thanks! Still lots of love for my sapphire (my first!) It's feelin like a supermodel after its PS debut and its presense on the JE website homepage, so no jealousy issues after the addition of its big sibling...:p

It's hard to tell if the set looks good without it being up where you'd wear it on your finger. It might look less busy worn normally.

I realized that I never returned to post pics after I got the diamond set....Here it is on my finger. Eventually I may get a narrower band to pair with it, but I will be blingzilla for now:p
