New diamond with halo setting...too much bling/ ring for my finger...?

The band + ring is GORGEOUS! As long as you love the two together, then that's all that matters! As for integrating the band in with the ring. . .I am opposed to the idea. I think they should be separate, but that decision is also up to you =) You have such a lovely jewelry collection missrocks (and don't worry, I am crazy about halos too)!!

I think both are gorgeous separately, and still nice together, but frankly, I think wearing the engagement ring and the band together takes away from the engagement ring, because the wedding band is so thick.

I don't think that there is a set rule that you have to wear them together. When you want to wear your diamond, where it alone, because its band has diamonds on it anyhow. Then, on other more casual occasions, wear your band alone. Together, your are doing injustice to such a gorgeous diamond, IMHO. Maybe that's why you felt some people thought that it was tacky, not so much the size of your diamond, but the fact that you wore such a thick, beautiful band and nice, big diamond, both of which are statements on their own together?

In either case, they are both gorgeous, and ultimately, where them how you like.

honestly i love the new e-ring and wedding band together!! i think they are gorgeous, and while i DO think there is such a thing as too much bling (ie kim kardashian's ring!), i definitely do NOT think that is the case here!

Upon checking back in I realized the I forgot to mention there will be no gap because when the jeweler makes my ring, he will style the under gallery different- the ring I was modeling was not really made to fit flush with a band like mine. Also, because my actual diamond is larger than the stone in the e-ring it will stand out a little more against the wedding band. Thanks for everyone's opinions, I am going to wait a few more days to decide....Although if I had to make up my mind right now I would still do it:)
Honestly, I was considering a solitaire, but that was only if I had gotten the size I originally wanted. With the recent price increases, I got priced out and had to cut back on size a bit:(

Thank you to everyone for all of the lovely compliments:) and cheers to all of my fellow halo lovers!

I recently got my e-ring halo'd and LOVE it. YOU have fabulous taste and I wouldn't change a thing. Get the ring of your dreams and wear it......it will look gorgeous.

My e-ring is more narrow than my wedding band, but I think it looks gorgeous and I feel that if it's too "matchy-matchy" it's less interesting.

Lemme see if I have a pic.........

Love this! I also didn't want my halo e-ring and band to sit flush against each other. My band is also different from my e-ring because I wanted a contrast! :p

Thanks!

I'm a tad ticked b/c my jeweller had the artist shave a bit of the "donut" off around/underneath the halo (at the base). I told her to leave it as I didn't mind it not sitting flush. I find myself at times spreading the rings apart a bit....because I like the look!!!
