The long trace chain is 27.5 inches so wrapping twice would be very short at just under 14 inches. Too short for me.
I just received my all gold Taurus pendant with the long trace chain. It is absolutely beautiful. The gold work is exquisite as is the trace chain. It looks wonderful on the long chain. The main thing that drew me to it was is classic simplicity. So glad they didn’t junk it up with diamonds etc. 
I got the small gold Cancer pendent as a gift and have been putting it on a shorter trace chain (15.5 inch) that came with a vintage piece I bought online. I would love to extend that one but it is useful for yoga/working out in and layering the two pieces. I had asked two different SAs to get me the 42 cm (16.5 inch chain) weeks ago and just found it in the online boutique and will have it even before I go to Vegas on Friday where I thought I was going to beg in person with my SA there.
As far as the long trace chain is concerned I think it is wonderful. I have several 18K, Tiffany box etc. chains of different lengths and thicknesses and IMO the 70 trace chain looks the best. It is quite substantial and strong and thicker than the shorter trace chain. The zodiac medal is quite understated so the ‘shine’ of the chain really sets it off. It is extremely well designed and compliments the medal.
I have the 70cm trace chain and love it. I wish VCA would make the shorter chain the same thickness as the 70cm one. I would love to have the option of the shorter thicker chain.
I just noticed the Zodiac pendants and 70cm trace chain are now removed from the website. I can't believe how quickly those came and went.

Would you please be willing to post a photo of the bail from the side?
What size chains do you think it works with?

It looks great with any size chain. I wear it with a simple 20” chain normally; but after seeing your question, I put it on a thicker charm bracelet draped across my neck. Hopefully, it gives you a general idea of how it looks. I wanted to get a thicker necklace for it, but the bail is too small. I’ve also included a pic of the pendant worn as a charm on a bracelet (which I would never do except to take this pic).

Oh thank you! WOW, that chain is so great with it! I love the bracelet as well! IF it isn't too much trouble, could you photograph the pendant bail from the side (it can be the side without the marks and specific info on it). I'm trying to get a sense of the size of the bail. Thank you so much!
