Do you have a picture of it on? it's hard to tell how big it is and the website does not say.

I... like most, love the Alhambra pieces, and I really like wearing a large pendant on a chain with a T shirt and jeans....I am an Aries and liked the solid gold one (the other is a tad (yikes) overpriced in my opinion and I can't justify getting it lol) so I got the solid gold. I am very happy I got it (I was a little hesitant and was not sure how I was going to blend it) and I really like the way it looks with my large Alhambra pieces. The chain length and size works if pairing with some of Van Cleef's fun pieces like the large Alhambra etc...
Love your layering situation! Very casual but chic. The solid gold pendants are definitely a more wearable piece.
I feel like the only reason anyone would be talking about these pendants (the solid gold regular line) is because it is made by VCA. If a non iconic brand issued this line I doubt it would get any attention or win the brand new customers....
I noticed a couple pendants on display at the boutique but didn’t even want to stop and take a close look let alone try on. Really wish VCA had spent the energy that went into this on something that resonates with their loyal customers and can get us excited.

I agree with you here, I was really hoping for something unique and very quintessentially VCA. I feel like if they made those solid gold pendants with the Perlee edge and made the symbols look more striking or elegant I would’ve been way more interested.
I think the same could be said of any brand though. Would we all be talking about a plain bangle with screw motifs if it wasn't Cartier?
I like pieces that aren't immediately identifiable with a brand - someone in a different discussion talked about needing something from another brand otherwise she'll look like a VCA advert. I like that these are gold - VCA doesn't have a lot of options if you just want something in gold, and I like that it's a piece back from the archives.
Honestly if I was asked I would have said the pieces are Bulgari, with the old coin feel. I like the different direction- I wouldn't want it all the time, but I like the change.
Mixes in beautifully! Convinced me to go ahead and order the all gold scorpio pendant. I can see it with Cartier and Mikimoto also.

I have to be the naysayer here, but I'm not a fan of the two together. While I love the the staggered lengths, IMO they don't complement each other--the zodiac takes away from the elegance of the Alhambra. I would either wear them singly, paired with different necklaces, or even add additional necklaces to fill in so no single one stands out.
I know these are very different looks, but this is what I'm talking about . . .
I don't wear long necklaces. This would be more attractive to me if the medallion was smaller and on a shorter chain. And I'm Gemini, I don't really want a pic of two men wrestling. The others are much nicer.
I also think I'll try and limit myself to one piece in each metal and I want frivole for yg.
So no, it won't be for me.
I love the plain gold on a long chain and am waiting for one to arrive. I cheated and got my rising sign (Leo) instead of my sun sign (Gemini) lol. I couldn’t resist the lion’s confident little strut. If I love the Leo a lot in person, I’ll probably get the Gemini and maybe even my moon sign. I’m not really into astrology, but it’s a lot of fun deriving meaning from a piece. Since I live in wide leg pants and slouchy cashmere (and converse high tops) these are right up my alley. I love that they are VCA revival. To me they are quintessential VCA zodiac, and I’ve coveted the giant ones from the 70s, which you can find for a fortune at Fred Leighton etc.
