I bought the cherries at Nordstrom's this week. There weren't any out & I told the SA I was wanting to buy. She checked the drawer & there is was.

I had pre-ordered the panda & pretzel. Both were to be shipped no later than June 10. I checked the order status Thursday & it showed the panda on backorder. Because I had seen both in the boutique the day before, I cancelled my order and bought at the boutique yesterday.

I'm surprised that sometimes the charms show up in the stores before pre-orders are filled.

I like the notebook & did pre-order for it.

GLL- You're welcome, the pics look great!

Cedes- Lol I got another juice for free. :p
And blahhh, I'm the only one who graduated and already did and don't have anymore announcements left...I made my own instead of buying the 25+ package from my school that was way too pricey. I only needed 5. I don't know what I would do to get that offer.

DebbieAnn- Congrats on your new charms!

I have to ask this... why does shipping cost $25-30 to ship to Australia?! And then on top of that sometimes there are customs fees, right? Is madbargains using express shipping? Honestly, I've sold several things to AUS bidders and it has never cost me over $15 to ship anything. A charm usually runs between $12-$15 to ship USPS First Class International, right? Or am I wrong? I feel really bad for all you international girls. Shipping for the charms is absolutely rediculous. And not having anywhere to really buy them is a complete downer too, because most places don't ship internationally? That shipping cost just seems insane to me!!

I think it costs a lot because it is USPS Priority Mail International which is also trackable.

Customs fees usually only come into play for large purchases over a certain $ amount so I've avoided that so far thank goodness!

Many sellers offer normal shipping - USPS First Class International Mail - which is in the price range you talk about but I don't think it provides a tracking number and it can be slower I think?

Shops like Neiman Marcus, Juicy.com etc all use USPS Priority Mail International I believe so they charge shipping rates of minimum US$25 too...it does add up and make the charm addiction extra expensive for us overseas ladies!

We are lucky in Australia that one department store does stock Juicy but the selection can be very hit or miss and the markups can be ridiculous. They really only become affordable if they go on sale.

hi guys!
GLL what a display of bling! love the charms and the leopard piggy! the desk set looks great, i don't think we have things like that is australia.
debbie ann congrats on the cherries, that charm is in my want list.
dragonette, a spidey charm! wouldn't it be great!!!!

Starlett- I've shipped First Class International to Canada, Australia and the UK and it's actually pretty fast (like 5 days)! I don't know whether it's because I'm located near LA, where one of the major Customs areas is, but I've found that in most cases, it's actually faster than Priority and the items spend less time in Customs.

thank sweetwon, i hope so too! i will keep my fingers crossed!

GLL, omg i love all your pics! what a joy it must be to be writing at a desk like that.

puka, i'm looking forward to halloween! :yahoo:

GLL, wow, love your desk set. The little piggy is too cute. What fun!

I wonder if that spider charm will be part of a holloween series?

The little notebook is too cute, I will be getting that one for sure.

Debbieann,
I'm still waiting for 3 of my back orders from JC also. I think one has been shipped just recently, so the others should follow shortly. I thought it was odd that the stores had them on the shelves before we received our pre-orders, then realized that the stores pre-order too & way in advance.

One of you charm collectors in Australia should start your own website and sell Juicy Couture charms. Sounds like there are enough of you to make a go of it.
Or join up with someone who owns a boutique of some sort, and sell in store and online.

Lvbd: awww! sorry to hear about you getting wet at the restaurant.. did your purse get wet too? I hope not.

Cedes: you're right! that alien look made me want to hunt for this guy! LOL He's just weirdly cute

GLL: you are the leopard print :queen: luv your desk and the charms you have on there.. so cute!!!

I got my carousel and lucky cat today.. it was sent in two diff boxes, but from the same Nordies Branch in IL.. and both were even gift wrapped! I'm impressed!

I might return the carousel.. it's not really giving me that "awwww!" feeling. LOL it looks plain.. like others have described him.. it's "bleh".

Hey there sista Charm Collectors!

Thank you Cedes. Yep, that Popcorn is strategically placed so I can gawk at it periodically during the day.

LV here's a lil :sunshine:to dry up all the rain!

Puka, thank you. I'm sure somewhere there does bling work. I found the site online. In an effort to avoid the high price tag I purchased some bling accessories from a store in town. They were stone in rhinestone or some plastic crystal. It's a huge difference when it's done in swarovsky crystals!

dragonette, thank you sweetie! I feel special each time I open my home office door. Really I do. I don't know why I didn't do this for myself a long time ago.

Thank you katierose. The piggy is my favorite piece but the hole puncher is a close second. It's amazing how functional everything is too. It's not just pretty. It's sturdy and can be used.

Thank you TCC! I can't believe I used to have Leopard Queen, spelled phonetically on my license plates but I took it off... Speaking of that they have leopard blingy license plates! Of course I'd love to have them but I don't want to cheapen the car. I may have to look into that again. :graucho:

What's happening in the land of charms today? I'm hoping for a new colored Christmas bulb this year. For some reason, I'd like a green one. Oh and someone mentioned a Haunted House charm... I'd buy that one because of my love for scary movies! It would be nice if the Ghost was re-released too. It can't be too hard since the mould already exists right?

DA, congrats on your new charms! Good thing you cancelled your order and purchased the others right there in the store. You saved on shipping charges!

I don't get why the phone/online orders aren't sent prior to the merchandise hitting the floor. It reminds me of why I stopped subscribing to a bunch of magazines. Subscription used to mean you'd get your first, prior to them hitting the stands. I hate to go shopping, see this months magazine on the stands yet it hadn't reached my home yet. I'd end up buying the one at the store and my subscribed mag would still take weeks to get to me. What's the point in subscribing? :smash:

TCC- Aww thanks lol. And my bag did get wet...I was carrying my my LV Ellipse PM and the leather did get dripped on and the canvas was sticky but I was able to clean it up and most of the drip marks went away thank goodness. :p

GLL- Haha thanks, weirdly, you know it's dry here now? It started to rain at about 1:30am but I don't know when it stopped. How is the rain by you today?
And I totally agree with you on getting magazines before they hit the shelves! This time around, I got my Cosmo like a week and a half after it was already in the store! Blahh.

Ok, so I'm amazed. My refund is pending through Paypal for my Gumdrop charm, but seriously? I mean seriously? Wow. I think it just got relisted now for a BIN of $159.99 or BO. Seriously? S-E-R-I-O-U-S-L-Y? Ugh, I'm out.

LV, the weather is strange looking here... I went to pick Bruiser up from the salon... While we were cruising home from McD's, love those greasy hashbrowns, we started to get a couple drops. By the top I put the top up the rain stopped.

I wonder if my Palm Tree will make it here today? Now, I'm starting to get concerned. Let me go check the shipping info...
