dragonette, you've absolutely GOT to watch Firefly! I don't know if you know who Nathan Fillion is or if you like him but he has this subtle sarcastic humor that is so much fun to watch. Regarding your box, it should never open straight up all the way like your picture shows, unless something on the inside is broken. The boxes always open and stop at a slight angle. Also, every single JC charm box is the same height so there should not be as much of a discrepancy there as it appears in your pictures. That doesn't mean your charm is fake, just that the box may not be completely legit. Some people do buy charms off eBay sans box and then acquire boxes all on their own somehow. Hope that helps
Elisabeth - I hope you get your money back and everything worked out.
TCC, congrats on the whale! That's a lucky find
Dollsbaby - welcome! I know the thread is huge but if you do a search you'll find several stores that will ship internationally (SBB, Revolve) that stock charms. You can also search for a seller's name to see if they have been discussed before. We don't keep a running list of good sellers, though. I think the eBay market is just too volatile to totally trust anyone 100%. Also, the eBay forum on TPF has lots of useful information on how to file a dispute and how to report fakes and fraud.
Tot, did you post pictures of your Buddha? I still haven't seen him in stores yet and want to know what he looks like IRL!
Pinkie - great collection! As far as your pegasus charm, though, it was produced WAY before the pink boxes began appearing. Unless you have the smaller version from the Fairy Tale set it should have come in the original blue box. If it is the smaller version then the seller should have disclosed that to you, as it was part of a set and a re-release.
PP, you're right.. no Juicy boutique will ever authenticate an item for you. It's the same with pretty much any designer.
Regarding PayPal: they require that you send fake items back to the seller unless the seller fails to respond to your dispute - in that case they'll issue you a refund without you having to return the item.
If people didn't have to return items that they claimed as fake, sellers would be fleeced left and right out of authentic pieces. I know it doesn't seem right that you should send the piece back, especially when it's fake, but PayPal does not tailor rules to their customers. It's an everyone or no one kind of basis with them. The eBay board on here is full of stories about people who DO sell authentic items and have nightmare transactions with people who claim they're fake and try to get their money back while keeping the item. If you guys are receiving fakes from the same seller(s) don't hesitate to e-mail all of their information directly to Juicy and explain that they are selling large quantities of fake merchandise on eBay.
