LV-How did you luck out in going again so soon ? I'm jealous! If you get to the charm store make sure you have them point out to you the $2100 slot machine and the other vintage expensive Vegas ones. They are TDF!

Oooooohhhh, LV, I can't wait for you to report some info on that charm store. I'd love to know the name of it and if they have a website. I'm a complete charmhead-14K gold, silver, Italian or Juicy-I'm on it! Haha, I have a few of those Cow Parade cows. One has leopard spots all over it, one has kisses all over it and one is wearing a bathrobe with houseshoes and rollers in her hair! My Big Lots is the opposite. It's very neat and tidy. When it was Pick N Save it was a mess. I can always find good "what nots" in there. Too many actually.

I think Neiman is definitely a high end store. I love their stuff though. You don't see yourself coming and going that's for sure.

watk, I would have no problem making the newer Bug my retirement car-it would have to be convertible of course! The only thing holding me back is that I broke both my knee caps and legs in my second Bug... Someone made a left hand turn in front of me instead of yielding like he was supposed to do. After they had to extract me from the car with the jaws of life I said no more Bugs....

dolllover- Well, my parents' anniversary is the same weekend as Father's Day so it was pretty much my dad's idea. So while they go out to dinner on that Saturday, I'll be schlepping around seeing stuff I didn't get to see last time (hopefully). Not to mention we got a killer hotel deal this time- 3 nights at the Hilton (even though it's not RIGHT on the Strip) for a bit over $180!
And they have that little Strip tram thingy so we can get there easily.
I'm so looking forward to finding the charm store, thanks for the tip on the vintage slot machine, I can't wait to see it!

GLL-Haha I'll definitely try to find it and write up a report for everyone! I'm not taking my laptop since the dang hotel charges for the internet, but I'll post from my phone if I can.
As for the cows, I only have one, it's blue with clouds on it. Actually, in the La Jolla area, they have the full sized ones placed around the city and some in the UTC mall. One was stolen, I can't believe someone actually got away with that, those things are HUGE.
And maybe we just have a stinky Big Lots...even in the commercials I see, the store looks nicer, ours is sooo bad. I did get one large stuffed Care Bear there once...the price wasn't marked on ANY of them, but there was a similar sized stuffed animal (not a Care Bear) sitting nearby that was $14.95. They had no idea what the price for the one I wanted was and they seemed reluctant to give me the Care Bear for that price. They eventually gave in but what the heck?? Lol.

QUOTE=SheSaid811;11191890]Random story: I went to VT to visit my parents/ sisters for three days this weekend. I had sent a package of 4 Louis XV chair charms I got on clearance from I think JC to my parents address because they don't charge sales tax to send to VT. WHY do I need four chair charms? I don't know. I'm an addict. I want a fleet of pandas to sit on the chairs along with my old and new teddy bear charms (SIDEBAR: I ordered an onsale yellow teddy bear from Meringue Boutique and got an old Brown hinged teddy bear in the mail instead and I was psyched because it was only like $32)

ANYWAY, I carry-on everything of value. I sailed through security x-ray without beeping and turned to see the airport security huddled around the x-ray scanner staring at the x-ray of my carry-on. They whispered back and forth and after a minute looked at me and said loudly, "UH, DO YOU HAVE A BUNCH OF LITTLE...CHAIRS....IN YOUR BAG?". I was like, yep, and a couple of sailboats too. I really never imagined airport security assessing the weapon potential of my juicy couture charm addition. I suppose I could possibly...scratch someone?...by wearing the chairs on my fingers like kids stick olives on the ends of their fingers??[/QUOTE]

:rofl:[LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this made me laugh so loud I had to explain your story to DH ..SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!! That's horrible! I hate driving in the town I live in NO ONE PAYS ATTENTION!! I'm so afraid of someone hitting me and messing up the paint!! It was a $2400 package in 2003! so I dont want to know what it would take to repair  However I LOVE LOVE LOVE my car I can't imagine driving anything else! My husband wants me to get one of the new ford fusions because of the baby on the way and I said NO WAY! for one I can almost stand up in the back seat of my car and I'm 5'6 so there is no reason!!! second mine is a Turbo GLX so it has everything I need :D The only thing I'd wish for would be a spoiler, It has a manual spoiler but I had it disabled because I didn't like the noise it made. I do like the cream and Robbins egg blue convertibles I see crusing around ;) ;)

OHHH, What a good man, he brought you charms! I can't wait to see which you received.

^^ thepurseforum or ilovejuicy works for S&Co.!

thanks tatertot and Tuptake~ :flowers:

Thanks everyone! I'm not sure which way to send it, bonnietonnie is in China and Expedited shipping (insurance, delivery confirmation + add on signature) isn't offered to international countries.
The cheapest method is by International Air which has 100$ Insurance only, no signature or delivery confirmation.
The only methods that offer delivery confirmation & Signature is Priority Worldwide or Expresspost which is at 55$, these are the costly, speedy shipping. Canada Post kind of sucks! There isn't anything in between that I could "add on" tracking or signature. I really don't want to pay 55$ (pretty much same I paid for the item itself!), and I doubt the seller would agree to reimburse me for that ridiculous shipping amount.
What do you guys think? Should I just go with Air International that has 100$ insurance?

Twochubbycheeks - I can't wait to see your charms!!

GoldenLeopardLady - I have a wii! Haven't played it in ages coz we're too lazy to set it up! My bf and I loved to play Marble Mania and Wii sports together, the wii is perfect for group play. The wii fit is entertaining too, I like the yoga and the balancing (harder than I thought) on the board!

Dragonette - Congrats on your hot cocoa and the gingerbread house! Adorable! The seller is so sweet to include an extra gift :)

Sheps - I love little pink paved pig! I had the lanyard version that I snagged for $8 at the boxing week sale back in January.

Pinkiestarlet - I never realized how cute the pinata is. Thanks for sharing your pics!! I love all your charm!

was it love_sasha? OOPS, you said the name - bonnietonnie
i have a paypal complain against him.. same problem/whale.
doesnt want to refund shipping cost.. claims its authentic..
but he refers to his 100% feedback!
doesnt want to pay back!

thx
Elisabeth

You bought the whale from bonnietonnie or lovesasha? Thanks to Cede's ebay blog I looked it up on toolhaus I combed through Bonnietonnies feedback, they've got quite a few neutrals and negatives. Even had some fb warning of fakes!! Something I should've read more thoroughly =( Did you at least get your money back for the charm?
I hope they honor their word about refunding the shipping since they told me they would!

shesaid, that is the most hilarious thing I've heard in a while. What a cute idea you came up with to sit the animals on the chairs.

LV, you're so lucky to go to Vegas again. Please update us on what goodies you see and buy up there.

The delivery man just left. After calming Bruiser down, I quietly, slowly, deliberately walked to my office and sat at my desk. I methodically opened the package. I didn't know which one this would be but I knew it would be one of them. I extracted the tiny box from the larger on. Opened the ziplock baggie. Opened the the brown box, removed the gray foam and to the surprise of my eyes... There it laid in all of its regal majesty... The Flamingo charm. Still, hoping to NOT like it, I reached for my leopard print magnifying glass and inspected everything about it.... IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFULLY, FASCINATING CHARM THAT I'VE SEEN IN A LONG WHILE AND BABY I'VE SEEN SOME CHARMS!

I shall now retire to my room for almost foolishly allowing this piece of wonderment to pass me by. To those of you who kept saying how beautiful it was I humbly thank you. :smile1:

Sophia- Definitely will! I didn't know what to expect last time, and my brother was with us (so pretty much planned out our whole trip ), so now we're doing what WE want to do lol.
And that includes Fashion Show and the charm shop!

GLL- Woooo, congrats on your flamingo!

Told you so!!!:p Enjoy!!!

LV-The Hilton is a great hotel! the tram makes it easy to get to the strip. Elvis got his start in Vegas there. They have a cute store dedicated there to him and these cute swarovski crystal decorated novelty bags. I always thought Adam Lambert reminded me a bit of having the charisma that Elvis had. I think Adam wil be huge!

GLL-The flamingo is an amazing charm with all of its detail! I've had him for awhile now.The baloon charm is just as detailed. Sometimes JC does a great job and other times they seem to skimp as in the carousel horse in leaving out the pole. Go figure.
