I think I mean "script" as in LV corporate says this is the standard response you give when someone asks for a Neverfull. All inquiries are met with the same identical response.

I get that it seems they are testing the procedure to see if they want to apply it to other canvas bags. Regardless of their intention or plan, I find the tactic to be very off-putting and it certainly hasn't made me want to buy some other LV bag (canvas or leather).

At any rate, I am not about to wait around for them to decide when I can have the bag. I just purchased one via Fashionphile and it will be here by the end of the week :happydance:
Congratulations @LittleStar88. I can't wait to see it

Thank you! I'm expecting it to arrive before the end of the week.

Strangely enough, I got a back in stock email for the never full MM in DE from LV overnight last night. By the time I saw it the bag was unavailable again. Makes me wonder if it was a mistake and the order would have been cancelled. Was interesting to receive the email given the Neverfull situation.

Hmm I'm guessing it would have been. Glad you purchased one from Fashionphile. I've had nothing but a great experience with them:smile: and their items are better than described. Both things I bought said Excellent but they were essentially brand new:lol:
And if you ever have a chance to visit the NYC location it is handbag heaven:loveeyes:

I’ve had really great experiences with Fashionphile! I can’t imagine what the NYC showroom experience must be like. I would probably go wild and buy too much!

It's not a script. This is the direction the company is heading in when it comes to canvas. If anyone has any canvas bags on their radar they should pick it up soon.
I need the speedy 20 DE to come out at least on the pre-order… but that’s a no-go because there’s no news about it at all. Then I remembered the thick woven adjustable strap that comes with the mono 20 is actually quite heavy, compared to the non-adjustable version. I didn’t like that part of my strap. So, I’m gonna re-think that for a bit.

I’m not sure if the strap on the speedy 20 DE will be adjustable or not. I don’t like guitar straps. I’m going to use my Alma bb DE strap for it.

All NF are still available on Eu website (Germany), but Graceful Pm has been gone.
I was waiting so patiently for the Graceful PM DE to come back into stock then after three weeks it came back but when I went to purchase it was gone then they disappeared completely, apart from the PM mono. Customer service said it was part of the main collection and will be available again but i’m not so sure now

I feel like purchasing a DE NF ‘just because’ though!

That's interesting... I stopped by the LV store in Bloomingdale's this morning and chatted with the SA about the Neverfull. She said her store won't be getting the PM, only MM and GM. She said the procedure to get one is to prepay and once they release stock to the store they will call you to come pick it up. She wasn't sure if the wait will be closer to 2 months or 3, but you will get one.

She also said that the strategy was done to get people to go into the stores - Neverfull was selling like crazy online and LV wants people to go to the stores more. My guess is that other popular styles will receive this same treatment if they like how it works out for them.

It’s possible it may be available for purchase again after the PI hits on June 1st.

Having people shop in person is probably why they wanted to push this. Can you imagine the volume of returns they get from online purchases from people who zoom in an go over every detail only to demand a return? Whether it's buyers remorse or whatnot, in-person is a good way to crack down on packages in transit and costs associated.

I’m done prepaying for anything with LV. I can’t believe they will make you prepay to be on the waitlist for a NF. It will be interesting to see if this will work…

It’s still available in the U.K. on the website, but looking yesterday I can’t believe the price increase! I swear the last time I looked at it (probably a couple of years ago) it was £860, now it’s £1360! Crazy. LV are trying to create that faux scarcity that seems to affect other high end brands. They’ve seen it work for Rolex and Hermes and want some of that for themselves by manufacturing a frenzy of “want” for a Neverfull! I’m certainly not buying one now, I’ll stick with my old Iena.

Honestly.. The reason I am not happy to walk in store is because of SA attitude. I have a sweet SA but when she is not around, it will be a nightmare, which I just experienced few days ago when I collect my neverfull. My sweet SA put it on reserve but it was her day off. So I just came and collect. I politely ask between mono and leather because I want the leather too. I want to cinch the bag, will it damaging the leather ? Then she replied with rude tone saying the canvas also has leather part so no different. Ok. I can sense she is not happy, which I don’t know why. Then when I tried on both bags, she left me and serve other customer. Then another SA came and serve me. I was like….. eerr why she just left ?? Did i ask forbidden question ?
Well, if LV want people to come, they just need to train their employees to have good manners to customer.
Just my 2 cents based on my experienced.. :graucho:

I agree with experiencing bad attitude. There were times I go into the shop and the CA I’m assigned to just didn’t feel like serving me because I’m a local. Cos I think the concept is if she had “caught” a tourist, chances of purchase is quite high. While the “locals” are always “just looking and touching and not buying”. But shouldn’t they serve everyone just the same?
