It's very encouraging to see you ladies' success stories and they help me to stay persistent in the process of searching for B and K. I was at George V last Friday morning when the shop opens and was told there was no B nor K shipment. I went to FSH today at noon and saw lots of garden party but still no B nor K. From what I read in this forum, I learned how checking all stores several times a day increase the chances of success, but I do feel guilty for dragging DH into this "stressful full time job" of store visits during our vacation. Sometimes I wonder if I'm trying too hard on something that is not meant to be, but on the other hand, I also want to show my persistence to dear bag fairy and hoping for the blessings 
. DH and I will be in Paris until this Friday noon. I'm still struggling on what to do.... :wondering sigh...

Take your husband and enjoy Paris. Right now! The sights, the sounds, the history, the people and the food. Stop somewhere and have a glass of wine and savour every moment of your time together in such a beautiful city.
If you happen to pass by a store pop in and see what's there but please, please don't spend a week in the City of Lights trying to buy a bag. Stock is notoriously low right now and you may well waste your vaulable days and time together.

Thank you Handybags. Your words of wisdom reassured me with what I believe I should do. DH and I have been savoring moment by moment the romantic ambience in this beautiful city
. This experience by far outweighs the joy of scoring a dream bag. In fact, I felt quite embarrassed by checking out the stores and inquiring about the bags so often that deep down inside I felt a sense of "begging" which makes me feel uncomfortable
. I found that to be defeating the fundamental objective and purpose of getting the bag: for happiness. I think you have so kindly reminded me of my original priorities, to enjoy Paris with DH, everything else would be a bonus, including the beautiful B and K. Thanks again Handybags

Yes I was persistent after reading you ladies' posts and I found my dream birkin at FSH yesterday! My first! 35cm black togo with GHW!
There was already a long queue when i got there at 10:15am. I think i must have been number 12 in line. When the doors opened at 10:30 all the SA in the bag dept were already taken up! I saw 3 Kelly cut being shown to a group of ladies with their husbands, and they purchased all 3 so I didnt even have a chance to view them...
None of the walk ins got to purchase any B or K... only 3 customers were shown those and a SA explained that those had been SO.
So i left at 11:10 and cab it to George V. No joy there as well.... so i decided to walk back to FSH.
11.45am back in FSH i saw a lady viewing the HG bag! she looked undecided... so i got hold of this SA and said, "hey, if she doesnt want it, can i take a look please?" he went over to his collegue who was attending to the lady and said something in french. He returned back to me and said " she is not sure, but you are next in line for that bag if she doesnt want it..." And then, the rest they said was history....
This is me second time lucky! First time was in March during the Men's fashion week, I got my first gold kelly! I was only there for a day trip yesterday as it is the Haute Couture Fashion week now and I know they usually bring in more bags for these special crowds, as I was told in March!
I left the store at 1300hrs and my SA told me very quietly, there's a delivery coming soon at 1330hrs. I thanked him but told me am very happy with what i purchased and left!
So there, I now have 2 classic bags! I can save myself from these tedious trips for a while now!
You and mrpotatohead will have a wonderful time
Your bag will come to you eventually, I'm sure of it. Keep and eye on the inventory thread and stay around tPF.

Yes, we are having a great time strolling, eating and drinking... and popping in nearby H store when there is free time. Exactly as your advise! Thanks Handybags.

Wow, congrats numb! I was there about the same time and I think I saw your bag (there was another black birkin too) when the SA told me that they were orders and reserved. DH and I left for sacred coeur shortly after. Your persistence pays off. Congrats again and wear the beautiful birkin in good health
!
