Hi. I just saw the iridescent leather Sutton and it looks so pretty. Does anyone have any insight/experience as to whether it is likely to peel in the future? I have seen some IG comments regarding this. Thanks.

I’m contemplating this as well. Since it’s pebbled leather I would not expect it to peel in the way the lacquered Oxford can? Probably the leather’s surface / color might wear away in places. I have a few leather wallets/accessories by MZ Wallace, the leather wears like any.

I haven't seen anything yet that is even a little bit tempting-I think the theme is more holiday-glitzy-luxe than is my taste.
I think this was my experience last year, the options (and luggage, was that last year?) was everything I didn’t carry.

This year the literally shiny sparkly stuff speaks to me just cause I like glitter and neon and glow in the dark stuff lol. Not sure I’d carry it though.

I think black leather small sutton will be gone in a flash haha.

The more I look at Crosby Trois the more I like it .... And I just check it's low stock! So I click 🤦🏼‍♀️
Can’t wait for your pictures and review!! It’s something that if I purchased would be on display on a shelf ha.

Thanks for your reply. I have heard great things about their leather but only for black though.

I haven't seen much that interests me in the 12 days of Christmas offerings until today. I love the shearling micro metro tote with the leather handles. I think I'd spring for it if I wasn't so worried about the shearling getting dirty and matted over time. This would likely NOT be an everyday bag but still I'm worried. Has anyone had a full shearling purse like this design and if so how did it wear?

No I have not. I am afraid of the same thing.

I like the shearling tote too and the price is good if it is real shearling. It is very similar to my Longchamp one below (which is not real shearling but a similar look). I am careful with all my bags especially this one since it’s a light cream/off white color. This is not an everyday bag for me since I dont wear it when it’s warm/hot or rainy or if I am going somewhere where it might get dirty easily (like out for ice cream ). So I am limited to a small window of time each year to use it. I have had it for 2 years and it’s in excellent shape since I am very careful with it in the limited amount of time I have used it. I also have a purple real-shearling Coach bag that I use sparingly . Good luck deciding :).

Neon pink saffiano leather did NOT wear well, but more due to circumstance/my use. It’s a larger envelope wallet crossbody, got overfilled, saffiano is not flexible, the strap surface wore out too (lesser extent). Whereas the saffiano leather on the shaped and stiffer handle of the older style Bedford bag (used a great deal) is pristine.
Also in this picture is a yellow vachetta leather wallet with a nice patina, the wear and scratches add to its look. The inside green looks more like it discolored a bit around the edges (exposed leather).

Then my longest most consistently used MZW item is the red Valentine’s day wallet. This is the luxurious, insanely soft smooth leather I keep buying accessories for. Used for years inside bags and it’s held up wonderfully. It has only two card slots and that card edge where the main wear on the leather is.

Same smooth leather in “seagull” on the original Crosby Crossbody with leather corners. Corners augh. The strap is just fine.

This little black pouch acted as my wallet (with its 8 card slots) and essentials clutch (when phones were that small). The knick is from a car running over it containing said phone (mildly bent, no cracks), on asphalt. No color loss at all. Still feels amazing. Took on a shine from handling. Same smooth leather as the red wallet, but the dying process must be different? Cause color hasn’t rubbed/faded at all like the other colors, It’s black all the way through.

Oh, forgot the last picture. Vachetta leather in brown. Clover green, yellow like the yellow wallet. One side of the zipper the leather is dryer than the other :shrugs:

Anyway, the iridescent Sutton is pebbled leather and I don’t have any of that from MZW and my 3 year old informed me his mom (that’s me) is buying a present for him to give to me so I’m buying it!!

Oooh any chance of a picture of the shearling Coach??

I have a Kate spade with feathers around some penguin eyes that lives on a high shelf on display, with never an intention to use because pretty sure it (and its longevity) is not compatible with small children lol. Eventually I’ll sell, bnwt.
I'm honestly not sure will I use it because I carry too much crap. Got to try irl lol. If it doesn't work I'm going to return it.
To me it’s two (three) small party bags in one, all the choices for size/capacity. Similar to everything else decadent, I’d be afraid to really use it, in regular life. But for events it looks super functional.
