Haha! I just saw this! Leon did both my e-ring and wedding band. He does like his rings to be worn separately!

Carlinha, your step-cut is gorgeous! Emerald cut diamonds were my first love. Looking at your ring makes me wonder why I went with another shape. :p

You're lucky the 5-stone ring looks great with your e-ring but is substantial enough to look fabulous on it own. You can rock both looks as the mood strikes you.

OMG hahahahahaaa  awesome! i knew i ADORED your ering and wedding band, i should have known it was LM! sooooo gorgeous!

thank you on the compliment, the emerald cut is my 1st love as well! followed very closely by asscher!

haha. and then there's my aunt—who is jewish and lives in nyc—who wears her honking 7 ct. princess cut e-ring (with 2 ct. trillion cut stones on the side—EACH) WITH her 3 or 4 eternity bands, all on the same finger. it's quite a view, believe me. it's like she's wearing an ice cube on her finger, but it's gorgeous. only she can pull it off. me, living here in colorado, i would look completely ridiculous—as ridiculous as one can look wearing some gorgeous jewelry. lol

ahem...I could TOTALLY (& would) pull that baby off!!!!! :graucho:

I agree!!:nuts::nuts:: What a beautiful look. After seeing you play with your rings, I was inspired to play with mine. I don't have an e-ring (not a necessity where I live), but I bought myself a 5,3 carat antique ring. I normally wear it with my wedding band (simple band, square, bit broad, with 14 diamonds). But today I wore my diamond ring (round cut) with my 5-diamond ring. Not as pretty as yours! Your emerald and 5 diamond ring are the best! :yahoo:

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous :faint::love:

WHOA! i would LOVE to see that onegirlcreative!!!:nuts::nuts::drool:

i do see older women like that in NYC... for some reason they can pull it off....

oh believe me, next time i go to nyc (which will be in february), i am seriously going to take a pic of it. i don't care what she says. it's too stunning not to. it's amazing, absolutely amazing. i never thought i would ever want something so big, but omg, i almost peed my pants when she whipped her hand out! :wtf:

I am a fan of the separate, but equal movement in wedding/engagement rings. By this, I mean, I wanted my engagement ring to be beautiful on its own (and not look like some part was supposed to be attached later) and the same for my wedding ring (beautiful on its own). When my husband I were talking about engagement that was my only request... I have seen too many halves of a set that were waiting for more to complete the look.

That being said, I am a tradition-girl and always always always wear my wedding band on my left hand. I don't have my rings soldered together, therefore, I can choose to wear the whole shebang, or just wear my wedding ring, depending on the event or activity. My husband has also given me an anniversary ring that I adore. Sometimes, I wear it with my wedding band and leave the engagement rock at home. When I am really trying to impress (picture dinner at his snotty aunt's house), I wear all 3 of them together! I love to mix and match (even though the wedding ring is a permanent fixture) and encourage others to try the same idea.

So...Do they need to be on the same finger? Nope.

Oh, and I love your rings together. When I saw the picture the first time, I wasn't totally sure, but the more I look at the combo, I love it! All that really matters is that you love it.
