I also prefer the smaller bands. Any way you can get a smaller band and wear that with your e-ring and then the 5 stone on days you don't want the solitaire?

I used to not have a wedding band because of the shape of my old ring, and I used to get so annoyed when people would ask me "when" I was getting married...

see, i would be the same way.

i like mine both on the same finger, just for the reason i don't want people to ask me WHEN i'm getting married

yup. i actually want people to know i'm married.

OP, any chance you can take a pic with your e-ring and the 5-stone ring together on your left hand, instead of separately. i'd really be curious to see how those rings look worn together.

I guess I'm rather old-fashioned, I prefer the e-ring and wedding band together. However, in this case, I think the rings should be worn separately. Your e-ring is too beautiful and simple to add anything other than something equally as simple.

thank you for your opinions everyone.... i guess everyone has different tastes/style preference...

personally, i could care less whether or not people thought i was married or not... those that know me well would know i was married, and the only ones who wouldn't would be people that really don't matter much in my life... so who cares what they think? as long as I know i'm married :D

shinibare - after i get married, i would wear my ering on the right hand, and wedding band on the left hand... this was just for picture purposes... but in actuality, i know other countries/cultures wear their wedding band on the right RING finger as well

onegirlcreative, at first, i was hesitant to put the e-ring and wedding band both on my left ring finger, since both are substantial pieces, and i didn't want it looking "too much" together... also, since the 2 are different cut diamonds, one being the emerald which is a step cut, and the round diamonds which are brilliant cut... i thought this may clash?

anyway, i took some pics as you asked, what do you think? is it too much together, and does it look odd to mix and match the emerald and round stones on the same finger?

it's beautiful.....there's probably many many girls dying to have your problem!! i like the mixing of the emerald and rounds...it's different and soo eye catching!! whatever you choose you know will be beautiful, regardless! how much time do you have to make a decision?

omg, i love it together. i don't think it's too much at all. and to be honest, i particularly don't like it when people match the stones with the center stone, that's what gives it such a unique look. like someone else said, i don't like the "matchy matchy" look.

i think it looks very elegant and not too much at all. i like it much better than the two smaller bands together with the e-ring sitting in the middle. imo, that looked too much like one soldered set.

i think it's stunning!

believe me, you'd get used to it. lol

btw, what are the specs of your emerald cut e-ring? dying to know...

:ty: frick&frack, shinibare, onegirlcreative and originalheather!!!

you know the more i stare at them together, the more i am getting used to it and loving it! i never dreamed an emerald and round stones would look good together! i guess i have a lot to learn when it comes to diamonds! :shame:

shinibare - i have some time, since the wedding ceremony itself is not until sept. 2010, but it is a destination wedding, and we are actually already LEGALLY married here in the US (we got our marriage license at the town clerk's office)... so i wear the wedding band when we are home or going to places where no one knows us... but i don't want family and friends to know we are legally married yet, not until after the ceremony anyway (so they actually SHOW UP to the destination wedding! :amuse:)

onegirlcreative - totally agree with you how i did not like the previous 2 eternity bands looked "soldered" with my ering... i couldn't place my finger on it, but now i realize it was because it was very matchy-matchy. my emerald e-ring specs are: 2.03 cts, ideal cut, G color, VS2 clarity

thanks for all your wonderful advice ladies!!! :flowers:

I don't love the e-ring and 5 stone together but I don't hate it either. I feel they are both simple yet gorgeous and need to be worn separately. However, if you love them together that's all that matters.

Both of your rings are gorgeous! However, now that you've shown us a pic with both rings on your left hand, I think it would be better to wear the wedding band on the left hand (after your marriage) and wear the e-ring on the right hand. Again, both rings are fantastic!!!
