so ladies i picked up my wedding band today!!! OMG :yahoo: i LOVE it!

i had initially thought i wanted 2 small asscher cut eternity bands, sandwiching my e-ring, like this look...

but after a few days of trying it, i didn't like how it detracted from the simplicity of my ering... so i returned that, and ended up deciding on a 5 diamond band... this completely took me by surprise because i ended up falling for the round stones (i am a step-cut girl at heart!), but in smaller diamonds, the round ones really bling the best! so i'm going to be wearing them on two separate hands, so i can maintain the simple look of my e-ring... like this...

so i'm curious... to those of you who are married, how do you wear your e-ring and wedding band? do you wear both on the same finger? one on each hand? i'd love to see some pics!!! and i'd love to hear your opinions why you like one look more over the other!

thanks for letting me share!:flowers:

Me too...I like your engagement ring with both bands on either side of it. Oh, and btw, yes I do wear my engagement ring on the same finger as my wedding ring! I wear my wedding ring on the bottom, then the engagement ring, then my anniversary band.

Not married, but I like the look of a separate engagement ring and a wedding band. Especially since both of your pieces are substantial... you don't really have to worry about making your engagement ring look bigger, know what I mean?

I think the e-ring and two diamond bands look *amazing* together, very beautiful. If I were married, I'd wear my wedding ring on my right hand and my e-ring on my left, but that's because I'm in the Russian church, and it's traditional to wear your wedding band on your right hand. But really, your rings are so lovely, both ways of wearing them look great.
OK, after looking and deliberating, I'd say I like the e-ring with the two Asscher eternity bands, but again, all the pictures look very nice.

i honestly think you made the right decision. i don't like how the original two bands make your gorgeous e-ring look like one big ring. i think by wearing one smaller band with your e-ring would look so simple and elegant, and it would look so much prettier than how you have it shown.

i also like the band you opted for as well, and why not play around with it and occasionally wear it with your e-ring and then on your right hand with your e-ring by itself. that's the beauty of not having them soldered together—you can switch it around for a different look.

btw, your emerald diamond is gorgeous!!! so jealous...

i was told by a tiffany sa that many women are beginning to wear their engagement ring and wedding band on different hands. i guess it really depends what works best for your e-ring style.

I used to not have a wedding band because of the shape of my old ring, and I used to get so annoyed when people would ask me "when" I was getting married...

no longer married... but I felt the same way that you do when I first got married. I thought the band distracted from the e-ring. I didn't like the way the 2 rings looked together, but I wore them together. then I got used to it, & thought the e-ring looked bare without the band.

I tried to wear one on each hand (a co-worker wore hers that way), but I thought it looked strange to have my wedding band on my right hand. I like a "collected" look...not a matching band & ring. you have done that with your set (which I LOVE).

I wonder...do you think that you're used to seeing your e-ring alone now since your engagement? perhaps you would like wearing the 2 together once you get used to how it looks together. I really like the way they look on you TOGETHER. I also like the look of 2 bands, but maybe you'll want to try that some time in the future.
