Thank you for the compliments ladies! 
I originally had it on the zip itself but got scared it would pull the whole thing off if you hang it by its own weight. Depends on how much you put in your case though, I usually have it stuffed because I carry so much and find it hard to cut down!
It can be used as a wallet by all means, but there's only a tiny compartment so you wold have to jumble all your cash, cards and makeup etc together in the main compartment which makes it hard to go through. But if you can put up with that (I can't), then there's no reason why you can't use it as a wallet.
Hope you get another chain Jellybebe! Or you could always get the one that's for sale I guess. I don't know its name.
